Just got my laptop yesterday. At first I was a bit skeptical because I havent had good experiences with Dell laptops but this laptop feels very well built. One thing you will notice is that it is quite heavy. Body is definitely not cheap plastic. I like how fast it is and the display is one of the best out there. Love the rgb lighting and how fast it is. I havent had a change go game on it but im sure that it will be a killer machine. 4070 video card. Ddr 5 ram and lots of room to upgrade both ssd and ram it makes it one of a kind. Im looking forward to gaming on it and will update my review once I get it done!

Cosmetically I love the look of the product. It's relatively lightweight for a gaming laptop. Battery life out of the box with default settings isn't terrible, could maybe be a little better, but in all honesty is not bad considering it's a gaming laptop. I would definitely recommend to anyone buying this model is to either buy a RAM upgrade kit as part of the purchase or go with the next step up model that comes with more RAM. Especially if you are going to actually load and play your games off of it. Right out of the box with all of the Dell/Alienware bloatware it was sitting at roughly 9-10 GB RAM utilization just sitting idle. By the time I loaded all laptop and windows updates, installed 4 games, added my printer and teamviewer, it now sits idle at roughly 14.8 GB RAM utilization. If you plan on actually doing any kind of gaming, 1.2 GB of available free RAM is NOT sufficient to properly load and run a game and it run smoothly. So to anyone that wants to buy this specific model, you are either going to have to watch what you actually have loaded so you can game properly, or you are going to need to buy more RAM. The amount of RAM preinstalled is honestly the only concern. Not a huge issue. RAM is cheap. More of a concern and not a major issue. More so just wanting to let people know to be prepared to either buy more RAM if you want to actually game, or take the time to go through and remove the factory bloatware, or both.

I snagged an open box M16 R2. For $1240 you cant beat that. The box was a little beat, but once I opened it, it felt like I was opening a secret agent brief case. First thing you’ll notice is the quality and the weight. The amount you are getting at this price range is much better than the basic and limited Macbook. The ability to customize the keyboard, track pad, and Alienware logo’s color is a smooth and refining touch. I have used it so far for basic research, and Youtube. Basic games such as GTA 5 and Fortnite. You will notice the fans sound like a jet engines in the back playing anything, but the temps didnt feel warm. The battery is pretty good for a gaming laptop id assume, as most of the time I am not using it for gaming. Overall I am very pleased with this laptop. I have gotten alot of compliments from friends. It was only ever a dream when I was younger, awing at Alienware amougst the early 2000s. Only feels right to have this.

It is a great laptop, please understand that! I bought this 16gb RAM version knowing i can save a couple of hundred buckaroos by upgrading it myself to 64gb. BUT, in recent years alienware laptops have become extremely finnicky with RAM compatibility! Do your research when upgrading your ram on this computer. The only widely known and available brand that is compatible is crucial, and only at 5600mhz speed. the Alienware command center utilizes quite a bit running idle, which can pose issues with graphic intensive applications. particularly seen with games like bodycam. I had to return 2 32gb ddr5 vengeance 4800mhz ram modules to best buy because the computer did not recognize the ram even after a BIOS and CMOS reset. This computer is beautiful and the build quality is great. the intel core ultra 7 can run hotter than its ryzen counterpart and be safe doing so. The fans sound like a JET ENGINE. haha but they effectively cool the cpu and gpu, so i can live with that! I 3d printed a laptop stand on my bambu lab A1 and it helped with airflow and made a 5degree difference, compared to the laptop laying flat on a counter! Overall. I really do love the machine, and will be keeping it. But the RAM is a HUGE limitation right off the bat. I got mine for $1132 as an open box, while the computer was on sale for $1500. So i really have no room to complain. I am blessed, and have never owned a high end laptop like this!

That said, it’s on the pricey side, a bit bulky, and the battery life isn’t the best, so it’s not the most portable option. But if power and performance is what you’re after, it won’t disappoint.

I liked this laptop, honestly tho was really dissatisfied with the battery like and how LOUD it gets. Like REALLY loud. Other than that no other complaints really.

Great laptop. Runs any game at high quality settings. Super easy to upgrade as well I upgraded the ram to 32gb an added another 1TB m.2 for storage. Battery life is ok with just streaming an normal use expect 2.5 hours before you have to plug in. However it still has the little alienware problems here an there but still a great laptop.

First the bad, that screen is too dim. At 300 nits for s premium fsming laptop thats just too low. And 16gb of ram is going to need a upgrade, BUT with this machine upgrades are totally possible, witb two ram slots and a extra nvme drive bay. The keyboard feels great, the battery life is fantastic for a gaming laptop and the RTX 4070 could use more vram, but it will service most peoples needs nicely. Plus with the press of a button the machine enters a “stealth mode” which turns this gaming laptop into a suitable machine for any professional atmosphere. At full price it migbt not be worth it, but when this bad boy is on sale its a GREAT value!

I really like this laptop. Its fast keyboard is nice, the graphics are really nice. I think it’s a lot nicer than the last gaming laptop I had which was a different brand. I did connect an extra keyboard to it and I purchased a cooling fan to put under it just to be sure it stays cool. I love all the lights if you couldn’t tell. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I have owned this Alienware m16 for about a year now. The computer works great. I have no problem playing anything. I have no issues playing games at maximum quality. I feel the pc is designed well, performs exceptionally well for any standard pc requirements. Streams great, beautiful picture quality. Talking about audio quality. I would say the pc performs very well considering how small the audio components for a laptop sounds great. My only complaint, which I’m not sure is worth being considered a complaint considering how much power they packed into this thin light weight unit. Gaming on high graphics the fans can get a bit loud. So for intense gaming I would recommend headphones. You will still be able to hear whatever you are playing. But the fan sound could definitely be a bit distracting. All and all. I am very happy with my purchase. I would give it a solid 5 out of 5. My only complaint is the fans can be a bit noisy at times. Streaming movies and shows you don’t have to worry about fan noise what so ever. So over all in my opinion this is a solid 4.5 out of 5. I would recommend this unit to my friends and family if they were looking for a solid portable pc to game on.

The laptop arrived today, and I was initially very pleased with its appearance and build quality. The materials feel premium, the screen looks great, the RGB lighting is impressive, and the keyboard is large and comfortable to use. However, I encountered several performance issues. The CPU usage was consistently high, resulting in loud fan noise and significant heat. I thought this might be normal during startup, but the problem persisted for the entire 4 hours I used the laptop. While playing Valorant, the FPS was good, around 350+ on low settings. However, after two games, the game crashed. I checked the CPU usage, and it was at 85%. For a laptop that costs $1850 (without any discounts), this is very disappointing. The laptop experienced black screens multiple times, each lasting several minutes before the device turned off. Upon restarting, I received a message stating that Windows didn’t load correctly. I haven’t faced this many issues even with my 5-year-old Lenovo Ideapad 330, which doesn’t have a dedicated GPU. Due to these problems, I ended up getting banned for being AFK (away from keyboard) in the game because of the crashes. I couldn't tolerate these issues after only using the laptop for 4.5 hours. Please be aware of these potential issues before purchasing. You can find similar complaints about fan noise for this model on Reddit. I placed the laptop back in its original box, I am returning it.

- Slim & feels extremely sturdy, it doesn’t feel cheap which is amazing. - Games are super vibrant right off default, no need to adjust NVIDIA color settings at all. - Resolution, QLED, and Refresh Rate make this the best gaming laptop I’ve ever had & see on the market for the price I paid for it at the time. I do not regret getting it at all & I only use it on the side as I have a full gaming pc. - FPS is solid and battery life as well!

Great laptop! I got this for my birthday a month and a half ago and it runs and performs well! Decided to get it after the HP Omen I got had WiFi issues. Though, I will say the fans are pretty loud when gaming. The lighting of the keyboard and touchpad are nice. Some say the display is dim compared to other laptops, but I personally have no issues.

I am in love !!! It’s really fast and the gaming quality is top notch. Though some don’t like the fan sound it can be kind of loud but I don’t mind it . I wear gaming headphones most of the time anyway but I love it so far. Depending on the game you play as well and for how long it may be helpful to keep it plugged in.

It runs good for the price, the laptop has a fan that is really easy to turn on and the keyboard has lots of features, the only bad thing is the overheating

I love this laptop it’s has good graphics, i mainly used my Alienware to watch movies and play games, With watching movies it never freezes, and my games never crashes due to the laptop over heating, although I would recommend a cooling fan because it dose get hot at the bottom of the laptop.

Great Budget laptop for the price especially if you got it on the -500$ discount, Plays most triple AAA games on 1080 p with raid tracing on ; you get about 80 -90 FPS, on 1440 p you will get 40- 80 FPS depending on the title , i do recommend adding more RAM yourself 16 G of ram is alright, but not enough for this beast, recommend getting 64 G of ram for this baby, as the AW command center app uses a lot of memory

Amazing laptop! Would suggest to others that do work with graphic design, video editing, working with LLMs and other AI image software as well with no issues. When I’m not working I’m gaming in my spare time and let me tell you the graphics and performance out of the box are simply amazing.
