Q: I have a 17" laptop - would this fit on the desk and still have room on the right hand side to work?
A: This item is 20.5 inches wide, which would not give you allowable room to work.
Q: What are the dimensions of the top, and what heights does it adjust to?
A: Top = 20.5" wide x 11.75" tall with rounded corners. The top has a tray ledge to hold the laptop when the top is tilted. There is a smaller tray ledge to hold the mouse when the top is tilted. The top can be locked into place flat, or levers released to adjust it to incremental tilts up to about 45 degrees. The legs can be fully extended to make the top 12.75" off the ground (level top) and can be shortened in incremental heights down to 9.25" (level top). If the top is tilted to 45 degrees the front edge is 5.5" off the ground (maximum tilted top) and if the legs are fully extended, the front edge is 8.6" off the ground (maximum tilted top). The legs stand centered on two supporting feet that are 11.25" long and one inch thick. The legs fold up like a card table for easy transport. I can put it into my carry on luggage.
A: Yes this item can be used in a bed setting. I'm not sure if it is reversible but it have room on both sides for the mouse or speakers
Q: Can this laptop desk table good to put on your bed?
A: The table works well on the bed even when sitting up it fits right between your lap and is very balanced.
A: Unfortunately, its probably not the best setup for a lefty.
A: There are screws on it so maybe you can. I’m not sure. But you don’t have to use the fan. It has a short USB connecting wire. I don’t use the fan and the fan is not in the way at all.
A: probably, the tips are hard plastic. I would put a mat under it to keep it from sliding or scratching.
A: The width between the legs is 19.5 inches and the table top where the laptop would sit is just over 20 inches. I don't think it would be effective sitting it in top of your legs.
