A: If you have an older stereo with a cassette player you can make it Bluetooth capable using this device. You would then be able to stream music from your smartphone to your older non-Bluetooth stereo.
Q: Will it charge while in use or only when off?
A: Mine does not charge while inserted into the cassette player. It can only be plugged in when cassette is ejected and not In use.
