The Echo Dot Max is basically a tiny wizard with way bigger sound than it has any right to have, noticeably snappier Alexa+, and it actually makes your “smart home” act smart instead of just blinking at you in confusion. Is it truly “MAX” in every universe? Depends on your room (and your expectations). But for most people it’s a slick little speaker that’ll fill a space, boss your lights around, and casually upgrade your daily routine while you pretend you’re not impressed.

There is nothing like Alexa. I am slowly starting to learn via Alexa plus, when I am home and not working. The results when I ask her, something is truly amazing. It gets my life going and not having to stop and look something up. The new conversations that I have with her compared to the old it’s like having an old friend in the room, and chitchatting away. It is learning me and I am learning her! There is nothing like this.

Listening capability WAY better, sound is louder and, bass is a lot stronger.

Sound quality is great it also gets very loud. Small foot print so takes up minimal amount of room.

Awesome, as always. Love Alexa over Siri but still can't explain why. Playing audio/music on this device is amazing and am in awe of the power it projects. Rarely see a Siri when visiting friend's homes.

As Alexa runs our household through reminders, alarms, timers, grocery and to do lists, etc I decided to add another one. I wasn’t aware that the Echo Dot had changed, but bought this newer model. We love it for the most part. The sound quality is definitely fuller. The only thing we don’t like that we have noticed so far is that because of the design, we can’t see from all angles of the room if there is a notification, as the lighted ring is on one side of the unit. Other than that, we love it and Alexa is in charge of this house in many rooms. lol.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the Echo Dot Max was to install — up and running in just a few minutes. The room-filling sound is impressive for its size, and it's become a great little smart home hub. I also picked up the Amazon American Music Standard subscription to go with it, and the combination has been fantastic. Overall, very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it.

Built very well. Good weight.. good design. Only thing is if you want to listen to music.. music stations are free. But if you want to ask to play a certain song. You need to subscribe to Amazon music

I have bought many different Amazon echo devices. This is the best one that I bought so far. The microphones pick up better than the others. The sound, for the size, is great.

Better sounding, looks sleeker. Started using alexa around the house, need more alexa devices to complete the experience. Definitely happy with purchase.

We upgraded from the first version of Alexa to this model. The upgrade was easy, the voice recognition and sound are superior. We can even play classical music for our dog to soothe her while we are gone.

I am absolutely thrilled with my Amazon Echo Dot Max! It has exceeded my expectations in so many ways. The sound quality is remarkably clear and rich, making it perfect for both listening to music and enjoying podcasts. The intuitive design makes it incredibly easy to use, and the voice control is incredibly responsive. Overall, it's a fantastic device, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent smart speaker.

We like the smaller version of the home hub. Was fairly easy to install with the Alexa app. The sound for music is very clear. The control of volume on the top is easier to navigate then the previous Echo Dot Hub we had. The two negatives is that on the older version you could see the colored ring on the top (because of the shape) when there was a notification -the new version the ring is on the front, and it flashes every so often. The other negative is that we were able to pair our Phillips Hue from the Livingroom with the Echo Dot Max but unable to do the bedroom Phillips Hue light. Both bought at pretty much the same time. For some reason, the bedroom light wants to pair with the old device. Trying to figure out why this happening and how to fix it, is beyond my tech knowledge.

She's good. Bigger and louder than our little echo. She hasn't been listening to the correct name though.

Great sound! Bought for a smaller space and I like the way it fills it up with sound for such a small speaker! Plan on adding more speakers to my echo ecosystem!
