At first i thought i would regret not dishing out the extra cash for the 7950x, but i couldnt pass up the performanxe of the 7900x at this price point. Actually, I paid $420 for it because I price matched from Amazon (make sure to always compare pricing). At nearly $150 cheaper, this CPU is straight MONEY. Extremely fast and powerful, handles any task i throw at it. Im able to stream at mad settings and game at 1440p max settings with ease, and it seems like this processor doesnt even blink. Its truly amazing how far the technokogy for these processors has come. So with all that said, I think value plus performance wise the 7900x is the way to go. If you want the flag ship go for the 7950x or 7950x3d but understand you’re really spending that extra money to flex on your friends. Its very unlikely you need that much power for just gaming and streaming. The 12 cores in the 7900x really means this processor is able to take on pretty much any task(s) for about 98% of the PC population. Highly recommend.

This is a great CPU in multi-core processing for photo/video editing. Workflow is smooth with no lag and latency. Keep in mind - you'll also need the best SSD, a good amount of memory (recommend 128GB of memory), and a solid GPU if you want the maximum amount of power for post-production work. As far as gaming, the CPU is pretty powerful. Not on par with AMD's X3D line up, but with the right mid-range to high end GPU and a nice SSD you'll get a great performance for your system. As mentioned above you get great performance for production, gaming, and streaming, but it leans more towards power users who need multi threaded tasks. Be sure to get an AIO water cooler. It runs a wee bit on the hot side. Great value for multiple uses.

Night and day difference compared to my 9700k @ 5ghz All-core. Though be warned, likes to run a little hot. Luckily I was able to use a Precision boost Option on my Asus Board to still give me great performance and still hit 5.5Ghz All 12 Cores. All that and even with Cinebench I was around 75-80C. Though I am running custom water cooling.

Upgraded to the Ryzen 9 7900X and it’s been great so far. It handles gaming, multitasking, and anything else I throw at it without slowing down. Runs fast, stays stable, and was a huge upgrade over my old setup. If you’re building a high-end PC, this processor is definitely worth it.

Putting together an AI computer to host LLMs and this 12 core Ryzen cpu is one of the best you can get on the market right now. The AM5 platform offers an upgrade path for the next generation of AMD cpu dubbed Zen 6, you don't need a new motherboard like you would for Intel. Cherry on top, I got it for a great price thanks to BB price match policy.

Amazing graphics! Very easy to install and now can run any modern game!

Better than the 9900x! Save your money for the next Ryzen CPUs! Buy these while supplies last this year. Upgraded from my 5900x! Huge change worth the jump. I edit and game and run 4 monitors so needed the in between. Not worth getting the 7900x3d best value overall

Best for ever thing I needed it for 100%loved it please make more

Honestly the only bump in the road is the temperature but this cpu is known to run hot so as long as you have a decent cooler you will love it

Powerful cpu rhat helps with programming and editing that also holds up in every game.

Yes yes yes, so much power! Daddy likes it a lot!!!!

Works great, and will be perfect for my dual purpose PC, both editing videos and playing games.

Runs really well, haven’t had any issues yet! Although for those who are building with it the 7000 series especially this one does run pretty hot but as long as you get some good cooling you shouldn’t have any issues!

No issues , have had it for almost a year. Easily installed.good for the price

it’s really good i like it and this is somebody that’s switching over from intel. I got it because i was building a pc and i was about to put the latest intel in it but i decided this chip would be best especially for gaming so this was the best pick for me

Very great product. Runs really fast! Gaming has been much more fun! Best Buy has the best deals for gaming products. Highly suggest this!

great so far. learned that it is one that likes to run hot! dont be like me, have your cooling planned out

Great for video editing, content creation, animation, and even high-end competitive gaming!

It's an outstanding processor for the money. Did everything I expected of it and would strongly suggest that this be a must purchase for any designer.

This a top of the line cpu it is not a generic part this is amd ryzen 9. Super fast and efficient.
