APC Replacement Battery Cartridge #32 has Hot-swappable batteries and Plug-and-Play installation.
A: Dear Joy, Thanks for reaching out. The normal life of the battery should be anywhere from 3-5 years. If the power led is flashing red and green, along with sounding this continuous tone, then we would recommend replacing the battery. If the power led is off, then there may be something happening with with the unit itself. The replacement battery part number for the BN700MC is RBC17. I'll attach the link to the use guide for this model as well. http://www.apc.com/salestools/AHUG-8YCBZC/AHUG-8YCBZC_R1_EN.pdf
Q: will this work in my apc back-ups 500
A: Thank you for inquiry. Unfortunately we need the exact part number of the UPS to confirm which battery can be used it in it. Back-UPS 500 is just the family name which could cover a few different units. I believe the UPS is BK500BLK but please confirm this by checking the small white sticker on the bottom of the UPS. If this is the case the BK500BLK would take the RBC2 so this battery would not work.
Q: Hello, i wanted to know if this cartridge is compatible with my BR8001. Thanks
A: Thank you for your inquiry. If your UPS model number is BR800, then the correct replacement battery part number is the RBC32. Please double check your UPS model number before purchasing a replacement battery. The model number may be found on a white bar code sticker on the bottom of the unit.
