Q: I have 6,517 songs in iTunes. How many gigabytes Ipod would I need.
A: As a music lover myself, I too have over 5,000 songs in iTunes. I chose the 128gb because the 64gb just had enough memory. This way, with the 128gb, if you chose to add more music, you'll still have space without having to delete any of your favorites.
Q: How long does the battery last?
A: It lasts 40 hours but it lasts me all day til the battery is in red and I have all the background app refresh off on all apps except for music especially when I go out riding it lasts all day long!
A: I bought my 7th Gen iPod in mid June and a few days ago it updated to 14.6
A: Currently my iPod shows that I have 3526 songs with 94.74 GB Still available of 128GB capacity. So about 34 GB of storage is being used right now A small amount of the used capacity might be video but maybe 200 or 300 MB, the OS and pre-installed apps also probably take up a few GB. I use the iPod in a similar fashion to what you describe, no Apps or games no streaming, just local downloaded music files. It looks like it should hold maybe 14000 songs by my rough estimate, assuming I don't start using games, apps or video files that begin taking up a lot of storage space.
A: I've had the apple IPod 7th gen for a few weeks now, the battery life is pretty amazing, i'd say about 17-19 hours. I'm not sure how much longer than the 5th or the 6th because I never owned those gens.
Q: Can I transfer via my computer my CD's to this iPod ?
A: Yes, save the cd’s to iTunes and the sync them to the iPod thru iTunes
Q: if i get ipod touch 7th will i be able to use spotify on it
A: Yes, but you will need to download the Spotify app and be connected to either wifi or a hotspot.
A: It should be enough. It actually depends on how much music, videos and games they plan to store. From my experience children easily get tired of games and videos and just keep their favorites so it should be a good start. They can always add and delete. They should have fun with Apple TV. My daughter had an older 16gig iPod and she was able to keep a lot of songs and games in it and she has it for over 10 years now with still some memory left
