This case is not designed for outside use. It's a simple, yet elegant design that feels high end. It's smooth and almost addicting to reach over and hold my iPad now. There's no assembly as the case magnetically attaches to the iPad. Its strong enough to hold the iPad Pro upside down for long periods of time without any slipping.

I really love that my smart folio is magnetic. My iPad easily places on it and has a strong hold.

The smart folio case gives you nice basic protection for the new iPad. If will definitely protect the front and back, but the frame is not really protected with this new magnetic design. This really doesn’t bother me as I’m not really a big case person so my iPad is usually naked. But, I do like having a case for when I do take my iPad with me on vacation or something like that. The lack of protection along the edges is a comprise I’m willing to take as the case keeps the very thin and sleek look of the new iPads, the magnets are very strong and the case does not move at all. Unlike other cases of similar designs (at least the Apple designed ones), when you flip it open the magnets hold the front cover to the back. This was something that would annoy me about other cases. The feel and quality is top notch. The only reason it isn’t five stars to me is the price, at $59 it would be a good buy, @ $79 it’s a bit expensive for what you get. Apple removed its logo from the back which some people may like. Overall the case feels extremely good in the hand and looks very sleek and nice on the iPad.

Began falling apart less than two months after I bought it. I purchased this while waiting for the survivor case from griffin. Complete waste of money. Can’t get a refund. Apple is aware of the problem and so is Best Buy.
