I bought two of these units to replace my Asus ZenWifi units that I had for several years. Asus makes the setup process simple and easy with the web interface or phone app. We have 70 devices connected, through the mesh system and it was seamless. THe was a major upgrade from my previous system. The only thing negative was they no longer have the slots on the back of the unit for wall mounting, so I just 3d printed some holders.

I got this router because I wanted one that was a good balance of longevity, value (somewhat, at least), security, and brand reputation. I had a TP Link Archer AC1200 before, and I loved it. It was incredibly cheap in comparison to other models, but got the job done for what I needed. However, I’ve read a lot lately about TP Link’s recent vulnerabilities, and it made me question whether it was still secure to use. Plus, it was outdated on top of that. Asus supposedly has a better reputation for security, longevity, automatic updates, etc. And this model, specifically, is supposedly a good balance of value (not extreme value, but value compared to top tier models) but also contains the technology that should make it last several years. It’s only been a few weeks, but connection has been great, as has the speed of my internet. I can update this review in a few months if anything changes, but so far, really happy with it.

Purchased to replace faulty Linksys router. Setup/installation was a breeze. Range far surpasses my previous unit. Wife enjoys the signal strength as she is usually farthest away from the router and is pleased with the connectivity. Mostly used for streaming and surfing the web. Extremely pleased w purchase. Would recommend.

I’m really happy with this ASUS Wi-Fi 7 router! The setup was straightforward, and once I had everything connected, I immediately noticed how fast and responsive my network felt. Streaming, gaming, and connecting multiple devices throughout the house have all been smooth and reliable. The signal strength and coverage have been excellent for me, and I really like having a newer Wi-Fi 7 router that can keep up with all the devices we have connected. The router also has a clean, modern look and doesn’t take up a huge amount of space. So far, it has been a huge upgrade from my previous router. If you’re looking for a fast router with strong performance and plenty of capability for a busy home network, I’m very impressed with this one. Definitely a great purchase!

Really happy with this router overall. It’s a great option if you’re looking to upgrade your home network, especially with multiple devices connected. I like the features it offers and the flexibility of the settings. Definitely worth considering if you’re in the market for a newer router. Plus the app makes everything easier.

Excellent device. Had tons of issues with previous router through internet companies and all of them disappeared when I installed this one.

Huge upgrade over what my ISP gave me. Saw a noticeable increase in speed. Install was a breeze and the app is useful. You can set it up for different functions.

Easy to set up and connect to computers and security system. We were also getting better reception and speed than previously.

Solid router, easy set up, would recomend, works like it should

Very happy with this! Our prior router was starting to go, and this one easily can broadcast what we get from our ISP. Setup was easy, and has good range.

This replaces an old Asus router that no longer received security updates. I've been using this brand for many years and like it. This one is in the group with the longest-dated security commitment on an Asus web page for the UK. After reading a Wikipedia article mentioning trust issues with Trend Micro software, I revoked consent for it to be used in the router, which works fine without those functions. It's nice to finally get WPA3. The router works well. I like the ease of use and flexibility of the browser-based user interface.

I like how the mesh works and love the interface, the speed of this router is insane love it.

Awesome filtering option from left or right be able to do Mac filtering and or multiple ways of filtering through IP addresses and I guest WiFi SSId

Full-house coverage, 6 people, all-day use. Unlike my Amplifi Alien (high end wifi 6, radio died) it doesn't try to hold onto 5ghz for too long when I reach the corners of my house with a phone - so the quality of my connections are more solid than ever. Speed is faster than gigabit in the same room. Setup was a little challenging and janky compared to Amplifi, but I was on a time crunch. Once it's set, I haven't had to touch it ever since.

I switched to this ASUS Wi-Fi 7 router to help stabilize my home network, and the performance jump has been immediately noticeable. The setup was straightforward, and the signal strength is impressive, reaching through several walls without any significant drop in speed. It handles a heavy load of connected devices simultaneously without any stuttering, which is great if you have a lot of smart home tech or high-bandwidth streaming going on at once. The interface is also very detailed, allowing you to dive into the logs and system settings if you like to keep a close eye on how the network is performing. The build quality feels premium and the design is sleek enough to sit out on a shelf without looking like an eyesore. Even though Wi-Fi 7 is still relatively new, it feels like a solid way to future-proof a home setup, especially with how much more stable the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands feel compared to older hardware. It’s been running cool and quiet since I plugged it in, and the peace of mind knowing the security and firmware are easy to manage is a big plus. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a high-performance hub that can actually handle the demands of a busy modern household.

The setup of the device was quite involved. The firmware recently updated and so the the settings for the router were in different spots so it took me a while to set it up. Since the set up the router has worked flawlessly, it especially helps with the 2.4Ghz devices I have and some can't have any security set on them to connect.

I’ve been using the ASUS RT-BE82U BE6500 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router for a while now, and honestly it’s working exactly as advertised. Right out of the box the setup was smooth and straightforward — the ASUS app made the whole process painless and intuitive, with no confusing steps. Once it was up and running, the performance noticeably outpaced my older router, with faster speeds and rock-steady connections across multiple devices. On the network side, this router taps into the new Wi-Fi 7 standard with dual-band speeds up to around 6500 Mbps — which translates into consistently fast streaming, smooth online gaming, and zero hiccups when multiple people are on different devices. Another nice bonus is the USB 3.2 Gen 1 port for network storage, which gives you extra flexibility if you want shared files or media on your home network. ([Best Buy][3]) The only real limitation — and something a few reviewers have pointed out — is that it’s dual-band only, so you don’t get a dedicated 6 GHz band like higher-end Wi-Fi 7 models. If ultra-wide coverage or full tri-band performance is what you need, there are pricier options. Still, for most homes this thing delivers exceptional real-world performance without breaking the bank. ([Best Buy][1]) Overall it’s been reliable, fast, and exactly what I needed. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to upgrade to Wi-Fi 7 without paying top-tier router prices. ---

Had an ASUS router before switching to a Netgear router about 5yrs ago. I was frustrated with the Netgear router constantly going offline and issues with the app. Luckily my Netgear router just stopped working, and I decided to go back to ASUS. I’ve had the new router for 20 days now. Easy setup, faster performance than previous router, no connection issues yet, and the app is much better than Netgear app. User friendly, connects almost immediately, and no lag time like Netgear’s app. Completely satisfied and happy I went back to ASUS.

Let me first say that Best Buy is the best. I have always enjoyed their website and the products offered. As for the router itself. I had always used Netgear before and this was on sale so took a chance. Pros: 1. Very good range. 2. Good speed. 3. Good mobile app once you get used to it. Cons: 1. Setup was difficult due to the different application. I'm familiar with computers and this some learning and research to setup. The quick setup did not go as advertised. If you are only setting up a computer then you may be fine. 2. No easy way to separate the 2.4 and 5.0 bands. I have mini plugs and echo speakers that connect by the 2.4 band and even after getting them separated it would not connect. I had to do further research on a new band they have called "IOT" for internet of things. This needs to be used in order to connect those devices. I finally got everything done. 3. Good solid router but expect a learning curve it you have not used this brand.

The ASUS RT‑BE82U BE6500 Dual, Band Wi‑Fi 7 Router has completely upgraded my home network experience. Right away I noticed how fast and responsive it is, with Wi‑Fi 7 speeds that handle multiple devices streaming, gaming, and video calling all at the same time without lag or slowdowns. Setup was smoother than expected, the user interface is intuitive, and the app makes it easy to configure the network, manage connected devices, and optimize performance. Coverage throughout my space is strong, and I don’t experience dead spots anymore, even in rooms farther from the router. The advanced features such as improved traffic handling, robust security, and efficient connectivity for smart devices really stand out, especially if you have a busy household or home office. Improvements in latency and network stability are noticeable when I run online gaming or multiple 4K streams at once, and everyday browsing feels fast and seamless. Physically the router looks sleek and modern, and it stays cool and quiet even under heavier loads. Overall this ASUS Wi‑Fi 7 router delivers next generation wireless performance, broad coverage, and easy management, making it a great choice for anyone who wants a future, ready network that keeps up with high, demand usage.
