    Good ANC True Wireless Headphones

Summary ———— This is my second ANC true wireless and i can say that this is the better of the two. My other one is Jbuds ANC true wireless buds. I also have over ear ANC headphones Soundcore Q30 and the ANC performance is very comparable to the over ear headphones. I have always have Peppa Pig running on TV and my 3 year old running around and screaming and i muffle most of his and the TV noise. Its a great travel companion and for the money its a great value. What’s in the box ————————— Earbuds Three Ear Tips (L, M, S) Rapid Wireless Charging Case Quick Start Guide User Manual USB-C Cable Warranty Card Pros —— Solid Audio performance with punchy bass and clear highs. good ANC performance for the price, i did not get a chance to fly yet due to Covid. That would be a good test. Good mic for zoom and conference calls. Type c charger. good battery life. IPX5 rating, sweat-proof and can stand some rain. Cons ——— No app for firmware update or equalizer Detailed Review ——————— DESIGN I think it is well made and its made of good plastic. It uses type c for charging so you need to carry a micro-usb cable. The headphones comes with 3 sizes ear-tips and the large tip fits my large ears. The case is a magnetic closing case. It is strikingly similar looking to the Anker Liberty Air 2 headphones. COUNTROLS The controls are touch controls. long press to turn off ANC. Single tap for Play, Pause or Answer call.Skip a track with double tap and 3 taps for google assistant. The touch control works on both sides! SETUP & PERFORMANCE Its got bluetooth 5.0 and it comes out of the box ready for pairing. Turn on bluetooth on your phone and connect to the wireless headset. The range is pretty good as well, I am able to walk around the house without disconnection. It can connect to computer or phone no issues. SOUND QUALITY The sound quality is very decent and there is no difference in sound quality with ANC on or off which is a good thing. Many headphones when ANC is on, has a lower sound, not with this one. I was able to test using Spotify and the headphone has a punchy bass. The Highs and Mids are not muffled and they are clear. With ANC ON, i was able to muffle the sound coming from TV and my toddler screaming at the same time. True test will be testing in a flight. I use these on my conference and zoom calls when working from home and there have been no complaints on the other side. I also used a sound recorder to test the sound which came out pretty clear. BATTERY LIFE Battery life is rated at 5 hours for the headphones and 15 hour in the case for total of 20 hours. The rapid charge works pretty good , going from 0 to 100 pct in 1.5 hours. With the ANC off, it is rated at 6 hours. OVERALL for the price, this is a worthy ANC true wireless headphones..

Great sound with decent noise cancellation

Like many of you, I have had to transition work from home (remote). While this has afforded me a lot of freedom to travel while working, it has only revealed the need for a better listening environment. The usual headphones that tend to fit this, are over the ear headphones, and are often at a higher price point. Introducing AU-Stream, a new line of earbuds designed for noise cancellation, while being portable enough to fit in your pocket or small bag. They are no fluff, they do not offer or require any sort of app on your device, and noise cancellation is simply toggled on or off with a press and hold on either earbud. Included in the box you will find both ear buds, a battery charging case, a USB A to C charging cable, pack of silicone ear tips, the usual quick start guide and warranty cards. If you are curious which ear tips come pre-installed on the earbuds, it was Medium. The pack of ear tips were the Larger and Smaller ones and are easy to pull off and push back into place on the ear bud. It is always a good idea to charge any accessory prior to use, and in my case was required as there was minimal charge. Using the included USB cable, I plugged this into my PC next to me. The charging did not take a long time and found that the battery case had plenty of charge. The earbuds themselves were low and were left in the case for about 45 minutes. Once fully charged, pairing is easily done with a quick press and hold of the back button of the case. You will notice the lights on the battery case start flashing the left and right most LEDs. The earbuds were quickly discovered by my Mac Pro and iPhone device, and were as simple as tapping or selecting the device. They connected relatively quickly and were ready for use immediately. Since there is no smart app for these, you will find these without any major features to enable or disable. Also, make sure that you have swapped the silicone tips to the appropriate and comfortable size for you. I found the medium ones installed were perfect for me. Also, make sure to position them correctly to ensure a proper fit and for the best sound. Using the touch and tap functions on either ear bud, near the logo, was easy to control basic functions. To turn on noise cancelling simply tap & hold on an ear bud until you hear a confirmation tone. It is the same process to turn off the feature which allows ambient surrounding noise to be heard. Tapping them once, allows you to play or pause a track and answer or end a call. You can also refuse a call with a tap and hold for about 1 to 2 seconds. Double taps allow you to skip to the next track and three taps enables your digital assistant: in my case Siri. There is not a way to rewind or skip backward and volume is controlled by your device itself. However, the functions appear to be the most widely used, and I did not find myself wishing or annoyed by the lack of any other controls. While these do not offer any way to adjust EQ settings for the earbuds themselves, they will adjust based on the native app used for listening. In my case, I was able to adjust EQ using the Music settings menu on my iPhone, which adjusts for the Apple Music app. I tend to keep my EQ settings on the “Rock” pre-set, and found they work well with these headphones. I should note that even without the EQ setting enabled, the earbuds sounded great. Producing Highs, Mids, and Lows well, while not sounding distorted in any way. The noise cancellation (NC) works well and was most effective in cutting out ambient noise. When the NC setting is first enabled, you’ll notice the sudden adjustment of most of the ambient noise around you. They do a great job of cancelling most of the ambient air noise and lighter sounds around you, while helping to minimize the louder sounds in the immediate area. For instance, you might hear a TV playing in the background, but while listening to content through the ear buds they will be drowned out easily. This made taking calls in public places easier to hear, and with the dual microphone's callers were able to easily hear me. I was honestly impressed with their ease of use and performed their function with great sound. There was no haggling to figure out where to tap and turning on/off noise cancelling was easy. We should talk about some other great features, such as the pausing of media when you take an earbud off, the fact that they’re waterproof (IPX5 rated) for use during workouts, or walks in a light fog, and the long battery life when using the charging case. The charging case fits nicely in an old, often unused, watch pocket in jeans. Since they are using Bluetooth 5, you will find fewer disconnects and longer range from your device with fewer drops. I was easily able to walk from my desk to my kitchen to grab a cup of Joe, never losing a single beat from the music being played. These also worked well with Virtual calls, producing a great listening experience, while picking my audio up well for those listening. Overall, for the price, the great audio quality, decent noise cancellation, and the battery life, it is hard to pass these up. While there might be better headphones out there, with better noise cancelling (often over the ear), and EQ settings controlled with an app. It is a nice change of pace to have something that just works out of the box and does the job well.

Good noise canceling, missing a rubber tip

I’m always opened to trying noise cancelling wireless earbuds. Although I use an iPhone, I’ve found the AirPods to fall out of my ears easily. I was intrigued with the Ausounds AU-Stream ANC. After a few weeks with it, here are my thoughts. Pro: -Easy of set up. The Bluetooth was quick to respond to both my iPhone and my Galaxy Tab S7 (I know I use two different eco systems). I had no issues pairing the Ausounds to both my devices. -Noise Cancelling: they truly are pretty good at canceling out the noise around me. I was on a Zoom Meeting, other colleagues in the same small office with me, and they were pretty drowned out as I participated in my meeting. This was the main point to why I got these earbuds. -Sound quality: both music and speaking sounds were great. -Fit: they resemble the AirPods, are slightly larger than them, but they don’t feel heavy or that they’re going to fall out of my ears. The rubber tips are what makes them really comfortable to wear and I don’t fear them falling out. I also enjoy that they are black color. Cons -Tip options. In the box comes 3 different size rubber ear tips. Unfortunately, the medium size ones that are already attached when you open the box was missing one rubber tip. This was the size that I needed. I reached out to their customer service and they just told me to buy a 3rd party tips. I was not really thrilled with their response. So, I took the rubber tips from an old earphones. They fit on the the earbuds but they can barely fit in the charging box. I have to hold the box lid shut in order for the earbuds to charge. Overall I am very happy with the Ausounds. I was just disappointed that they were missing 1 of the rubber tips. Good overall sound and they fit comfortably in my ears.

Great sound w/good noise reduction technology

The Ausounds - AU-Stream ANC True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earphones are comfortable in my ears and offer great sound quality. They come with 3 different size silicone ear tips, so they should accomodate most people. The charging case is bigger than my Samsung Galaxy wireless earbuds and larger than the similar shape Apple Airpods. The Active Noise Cancelling is more accurately described as active noise reduction, as it does not completely block external sound like over the ear ANC headphones would. I would say it reduces external sound levels by 25-50% tops. It's easy to turn ANC on and off, by long-tapping either one of the buds. The rest of the controls are easy, intuitive, similar to other wireless buds and work the same on both left and right earphones. Bluetooth connection was very easy to my Samsung Galaxy smartphone, didn't require a pin and has very good range away from my phone or laptop. Sound quality is good for everyday use, crisp highs and solid bass. Unfortunately there is no App at this time, so there is no fine tuning equalizer. Also the wireless charging doesn't seem to work with my Samsung wireless chargers, but that's ok, I'm glad the wired charging port is USB-C. The one issue I'm experiencing when ANC is on is a buzzing, crackling sound in the left earphone and an occasional static hissing in the right earphone. Once I start playing music, it goes away or I can't hear it anymore because the music is louder than the static. Maybe I got a slightly defective set, will have to call customer service on that one.

    Almost great

The AU-Stream ANC wireless headset is quite good, but the problem is that it is frustratingly close to being truly excellent. Build quality appears solid, although time will tell. Battery life appears as advertised, around five hours, which is typical in this price range. Pairing is simple, with a button on the charging case putting the buds into pairing mode. There is no app available, which makes setup simple, but the availability of one would likely solve some of the issues below. The case is lightly larger than the LG Tone or the Jabra Elite 75, but still fits in a pocket with ease. A nice touch is that the case support Qi charging, which is handy, except sometimes the case becomes quite warm to the touch if you leave it on the charger. Noise cancellation has two settings; beep and beep beep. Voice feedback would be very helpful here. This is one of the things an app could fix, by showing what mode you’re currently in and allowing selection. Noise cancellation appears to work by using ANC to block lower frequency sounds, like an airplane engine or cars, and isolation to block higher frequencies. It’s a good strategy, and although I wasn’t able to test it on a flight (pandemic and all that), it did a very good job of reducing traffic drone. Isolation, though, is an issue, and it doesn’t need to be. The AU-Stream comes with silicone tips. They’re comfortable, but they don’t do a very good job of noise isolation. I swapped the silicone for a pair of Comply isolation foam tips, and the noise isolation and bass response both improved markedly. Adding a set of foam isolation tips after market, though, puts the total price very close to the outstanding Sonys. The AU-Stream has an auto stop/start feature; take a bud out of your ear and whatever you’re listening to stops, place it back in the ear and it starts. Handy, except it has no sense of time. Say you're playing music on your iPhone Wednesday night and put the buds away, it automatically stops. You close iTunes at some point. When you put the buds back in to make a phone call on Friday, it starts right where you left off, without actually opening iTunes. You have to pick up your phone, put it on the lock screen, pause iTunes, then you can make your call. And what if you were listening to Nickleback and it started playing automatically when people were around? Embarrassing. Again, an app that made this feature selectable would be a great improvement. Controls are easy to use, as each is duplicated on both sides. Want to start or stop the music? A quick tap on either ear bud will do it. Change noise cancelling from beep to beep beep? A long tap does the trick. While this means you don’t have to remember which side has which control, it also limits the total number of bud-based controls available. Want to adjust the volume? Sorry, you have to pick up your phone for that. The microphone works really well for calls, assuming you’re in a quiet place. If the dog barks or a car drives by, it will also pick that up. Finally, let’s talk about the sound. They sound really good, but they don’t sound neutral. Bass response is solid and clear, not over-emphasized and rumbling like so many headsets. But, they have their own sound profile, and it’s not as clean as Sony, B&W, Etymotics, Sennheiser, … It’s what AUSounds's engineers think you should want to hear, and, again, there’s no app to tune it. The best you can do is set your phone to Bass Boost or whatever, which will mess up the sound when you switch to another headphone. AUSounds, you're so close. Give us an app that has an equalizer, allows us to turn off autoplay, lets us select ANC modes, and perhaps lets us change the button functions. Put some noise cancellation in the microphone. Give us something other than beeps for audible feedback. Include some foam isolation tips. Take your very good product and make it great.
