I recently upgraded to the newer Blink Video Doorbell after having the previous model at my old house, and the improvement is immediately noticeable. The biggest upgrade is the viewing angle. The older version did the job, but it had a more limited field of view—you’d often miss packages on the ground or only catch part of a person standing at the door. The new model fixes that completely. The expanded vertical field of view now lets me clearly see packages at my doorstep and get a full head-to-toe view of whoever is there. That alone makes a huge difference for both security and convenience. Setup was straightforward, just like before, and it integrates seamlessly with the rest of the Blink system. Motion alerts are quick and accurate, and the newer detection features (like person alerts) add an extra layer of usefulness without being overly sensitive. Battery life still holds up well, which was something I appreciated about the original. It’s a “set it and forget it” type of device, which is exactly what I want in a doorbell camera. Overall, this feels like a meaningful upgrade—not just a refresh. If you’re coming from the older Blink doorbell, the improved viewing angle alone makes it worth it. Being able to see both the full person and any packages at your door gives you much better awareness of what’s actually happening outside

Price was better than on Amazon. Works with our existing Blink module. Video is clear and sound is good. A little slow to notify you on movement but so was my Ring video doorbell. Super easy install and looks good!

I absolutely love my Blink Doorbell! From setup to daily use, it has exceeded my expectations. Installation was super simple — the instructions were clear and took less than 10 minutes to complete. The video quality is crisp and clear, even at night, which gives me extra peace of mind knowing I can see who’s at the door at all times.

I recently installed the Blink Video Doorbell and it works perfectly with my entire Blink system. The video is clear, day or night, and motion detection is very accurate. Notifications arrive instantly on my phone, and the two-way audio is clear and reliable. Setup was straightforward, and it seamlessly integrates with my other Blink cameras and devices. It’s a great addition to my home security system and makes monitoring my front door effortless. Highly recommended for anyone using Blink products!

The Blink Doorbell works great and was very easy to install. Highly recommended!

The short: It works with the older modules. The model without the new sync module doesn't come with the wedge. The new wide angle view takes some getting use to. The long: My Ring brand doorbell has not worked properly after a update and they wouldn't back their product. So I finally decided to make the switch to the blink h2t doorbell and I can hear my doorbell ring again! The installation of the device and setup in the app was easy. My only gripes with this smart doorbell is that the motion zone can't be finely filtered with smaller boxes and the one you can draw with your fingers can't be positioned between lines. Another is that fishbowl camera view, it's definitely a head to toe but the image might be too stretched. I also hope in the near future they make a spacer available so I can position my doorbell away from my brick wall and I can get more view in my fishbowl.

I love everything about blink and their devices I love the quality it gives out I feel safe in my home.

Our old Gen1 doorbell was beat up and fuzzy from wear and tear. OMG, get this doorbell. Better picture than the old one (even when the old was new) and more field of view. Having this doorbell eliminated the need for our porch camera. You can see the person at the door head to toe.

I loved the outdoor cameras so much I had to buy the doorbell! It’s great quality, easy to use, and efficient.

Value for Money: For a budget-friendly smart doorbell, the Gen 2 is very compelling. The video improvements and person detection are solid upgrades, especially relative to its cost. • Use Case Fit: It works best for someone who: 1. Wants a wide field of view to catch people and packages. 2. Is okay being dependent on Blink’s cloud plan. 3. Has moderate motion at the doorstep (not constant traffic) to preserve battery life. 4. Already uses or is okay adding a Sync Module Core.

I had the 1st Gen Blink Doorbell and it worked fantastically. We had it for 3 years before we dropped the back piece and some hooks broke off and wanted to get a new one that hooked on the door again. It took me a while to realize this new 2nd gen doorbell was only recording when our door was opened, no deliveries. I checked the settings, power cycled, and bought a new case to hold it. I had to try a bunch of different places on my porch to get it to record anything motion triggered(other than the door it was on opening), and it is still unreliable. At this point Ive rubberbanded the old one together because it’s motion detector seems to work much better and I need a camera that actually records motion. I hope they do a firmware update or something to fix this. Works fine if doorbell button is pressed, great image quality, but I’m very irritated that it struggles so much with motion detection based on positioning that was never a problem for the old version.

I got this to replace my two year old Blink doorbell camera. Though I had no issues with my old camera, I needed a better field of view. This camera DEFINITELY gives me that. I can see SO much more of my sidewalk, steps and the street. The AI discription of each notification is another cool feature (a limited trial with purchase required after trial's end) but it's kind of a novelty. I definitely am enjoying this camera.

Easy installation and syncing with sync module, 2year battery life is great not to mention picture and video quality

We bought this to replace the Ring doorbell. The picture is very clear and the sound quality is better than the Ring I replaced in my I opinion. I had to purchase another sync module though which was an extra cost. Now I have all Blink cameras and they work great.

I liked the Blink Video Doorbell because it’s affordable, easy to use, and reliable for basic home monitoring. While it’s not perfect, it offers good value for the price and meets my everyday security needs.

The view on this camera is amazing. Crystal clear like HD. Best camera ever definitely recommended out of five stars I give it six.

I love the upgrades from previous version. Highly recommend.
