A: Hello Paul, To hardwire a Blink Doorbell, first shut off power at the breaker, then remove the old doorbell, connect the Blink's Y-clips (or wires directly to terminals) to your existing low-voltage wires (16-24V AC), mount the new backplate, and restore power; the app guides you to confirm compatibility and set up your chime type (mechanical/digital) while the doorbell still needs its internal batteries for operation. A: Hi MP, the Blink Video Doorbell doesn’t have a built-in indoor chime. It will ring through your home’s existing doorbell chime if wired, or an Alexa device if used wirelessly. Hope this helps!

A: Hi there! You can use local storage by plugging a USB drive into a Sync Module 2 or a micro SD card into a Sync Module XR, however this model doesn't come with either. This particular listing is for adding a doorbell to an existing Blink system that already features a Sync Module. If you'd like the Blink Video Doorbell you see here, I'd suggest picking up a separate Sync Module 2 to use the USB storage. If you run into any issues setting things up, you can always reach out via the app for some help. Personally I had to eject the USB drive in the app and re-insert it once or twice before things started working properly. I hope that helps, have a great rest of your day!

best door bell camera
Easy installation and syncing with sync module, 2year battery life is great not to mention picture and video quality

Great upgrade from Ring
The short: It works with the older modules. The model without the new sync module doesn't come with the wedge. The new wide angle view takes some getting use to. The long: My Ring brand doorbell has not worked properly after a update and they wouldn't back their product. So I finally decided to make the switch to the blink h2t doorbell and I can hear my doorbell ring again! The installation of the device and setup in the app was easy. My only gripes with this smart doorbell is that the motion zone can't be finely filtered with smaller boxes and the one you can draw with your fingers can't be positioned between lines. Another is that fishbowl camera view, it's definitely a head to toe but the image might be too stretched. I also hope in the near future they make a spacer available so I can position my doorbell away from my brick wall and I can get more view in my fishbowl.

Have Blink? Then get this doorbell!
Our old Gen1 doorbell was beat up and fuzzy from wear and tear. OMG, get this doorbell. Better picture than the old one (even when the old was new) and more field of view. Having this doorbell eliminated the need for our porch camera. You can see the person at the door head to toe.
