I recently upgraded to the newer Blink Video Doorbell after having the previous model at my old house, and the improvement is immediately noticeable. The biggest upgrade is the viewing angle. The older version did the job, but it had a more limited field of view—you’d often miss packages on the ground or only catch part of a person standing at the door. The new model fixes that completely. The expanded vertical field of view now lets me clearly see packages at my doorstep and get a full head-to-toe view of whoever is there. That alone makes a huge difference for both security and convenience. Setup was straightforward, just like before, and it integrates seamlessly with the rest of the Blink system. Motion alerts are quick and accurate, and the newer detection features (like person alerts) add an extra layer of usefulness without being overly sensitive. Battery life still holds up well, which was something I appreciated about the original. It’s a “set it and forget it” type of device, which is exactly what I want in a doorbell camera. Overall, this feels like a meaningful upgrade—not just a refresh. If you’re coming from the older Blink doorbell, the improved viewing angle alone makes it worth it. Being able to see both the full person and any packages at your door gives you much better awareness of what’s actually happening outside

The Blink Video Doorbell has been a fantastic addition to my home security. The head-to-toe HD view gives a clear, crisp picture of exactly who is at the door and makes it easy to spot packages left on the porch. Setup was incredibly simple, and the advertised two-year battery life means I don't have to worry about constantly taking it down to recharge. Just keep in mind that this specific package doesn't include the Sync Module, so you will need to pick one up separately if you want to save clips locally. Overall, for the price and ease of use, it is an excellent smart doorbell. Highly recommended!

I’m very happy with this video doorbell. The picture quality is clear during both the day and at night, and the motion detection works well. I receive notifications quickly whenever someone is at my door, and the two-way audio is clear and easy to use. The installation was simple, and the app is user-friendly. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can see who is at my door even when I’m away from home. Overall, this is a great product that is reliable, easy to use, and offers excellent value. Price was better than on Amazon. Works with our existing Blink module. Video is clear and sound is good. A little slow to notify you on movement but so was my Ring video doorbell. Super easy install and looks good!

I absolutely love my Blink Doorbell! From setup to daily use, it has exceeded my expectations. Installation was super simple — the instructions were clear and took less than 10 minutes to complete. The video quality is crisp and clear, even at night, which gives me extra peace of mind knowing I can see who’s at the door at all times.

Our old Gen1 doorbell was beat up and fuzzy from wear and tear. OMG, get this doorbell. Better picture than the old one (even when the old was new) and more field of view. Having this doorbell eliminated the need for our porch camera. You can see the person at the door head to toe.

The camera have great video quality. The settings with the blink system allows you to adjust the camera setting to your liking. I think it’s an affordable option for a home security system.

Value for Money: For a budget-friendly smart doorbell, the Gen 2 is very compelling. The video improvements and person detection are solid upgrades, especially relative to its cost. • Use Case Fit: It works best for someone who: 1. Wants a wide field of view to catch people and packages. 2. Is okay being dependent on Blink’s cloud plan. 3. Has moderate motion at the doorstep (not constant traffic) to preserve battery life. 4. Already uses or is okay adding a Sync Module Core.

We like the blink it’s economical and great picture, simple only down side is if you do not arm it it does not record, we upgraded to add the sandisk as well.

Good camera, the sound lags a little when talking through it. You do have to purchase the indoor camera to hear the doorbell though

We bought this to replace the Ring doorbell. The picture is very clear and the sound quality is better than the Ring I replaced in my I opinion. I had to purchase another sync module though which was an extra cost. Now I have all Blink cameras and they work great.
