Although basically a riff on Double Indemnity, this almost forgotten, streamy thriller is worth checking out. It also has one of John Barry's best scores.

Well acted and nicely directed, Body Heat (1981) is suspenseful and entertaining. This neo-noir erotic film centers around a cocky lawyer, Ned Racine, and a lustful babe, Matty Walker. Both characters draw you in and the surprise twists at the film's end make it a delightful 'must-see.'

William Hurt's 2nd film and Lawrence Kasdan's first. Classic noir style drama set in the 80's. This is the classic story of the femme fatale who finds and seduces a hapless male simply to set him up for the big fall and walk away with all the goodies.

A film that updates a genre from the 40s while retaining all the period mood and atmosphere. This is a great movie. Sweaty, erotic, intense, very well acted and directed. If you love noir or neo noir, you will not be disappointed.

Saw this in the discount bin cyber Monday. One of my all time favorite movies with twists and turns and a great soundtrack. Have had this movie on VHS for many, many years and wanted the Blu-ray copy for the future.

Classic early 80's drama/thriller. Good looking and sounding disc for it's time. This won't be shaking your surround sound up though. Surprisingly, a decent amount of extras on the disc too.

The guy who wrote the Empire Strikes Back brings you a movie without lightsabers, cloud cities, and ripped apart droids. Even without all that stuff, it's still a good movie.
