Make sure you have the Bose Music app before trying to pair it to a device. Once you have the app, it's simple. It'll walk you through it step by step. The instructions with the remote will show you how to get it paired to your app and to your Bose Soundbar (either a 500 or 700 Bose Soundbar). Once that is done, the app takes over. The only con is the back light. Sometimes it turns off before you chose a device to control but once you get the hang of where everything is, you don't necessarily need the back light. Basically, it's a great universal remote.. what you'd expect from Bose.

I love the fact one can sync their whole system with one remote, my TV which happens to be smart tv also and the Bose speaker system is all managed by this one single remote, I'm loving it so far. The hassle of multiple remotes, losing one or the other every time can be avoided now. Thanks!

This remote is easy to program to operate my tv and my blue ray player. It's easy to use and it makes so much sense to have one remote operate my devices. I must say I like that the remote lights up when you pick it up or give an easy shake.

Took a week to figure it out. No real instructions/directions. Didn't even include what each button on the remote stands for - had to figure it out on my own. Could sink it with my soundbar/cable, but not with my TV directly. However, the most disappointing thing is I still can't get any shown volume level projected on my TV screen. So, I still need to guess what the level is. I have the Bose 500 Sound Bar and Sub. I have several Bose products that I am extremely satisfied with, but this has been a disappointment.

This is an amazing item to have especially if you use Alexia iPhone any Apple products along with Bose I highly suggest this is a must-have. It will override any other remote. It comes with batteries even! Excellent value!!!

Got this remote control with a Bose 700 sound bar... Very nice sound ... The remote control supposedly allows you to pair 3 other devices. I have DirectTV and AppleTV (well-known and mature devices) so i said this should be easy. The remote control simply does not recognize them, no matter what. Spent 5 hours trying different things and looking up on line... About to give up on the remote control... This is from BOSE!!! A TOP brand on sound. Huge disappointment

Stay away. Backlight on remote stays on for only 2 seconds making it very difficult to use. Don't purchase until second generation. Bose forum has many complaints going back 3 months with no resolution.
