Good economical B&W Laser Printer, purchased to replace a worn out MFC-L5850DW that lasted for many years and burned through tons of copy paper boxes. The MFC-L5900DW has Gigabit Ethernet, more memory and uses the same economical high yield toner cartridges.

This printer was a terrific investment at a low cost. The optional high volume toners make it an even better deal. It prints fast and both print/copy are quality. I have really enjoyed using the two sided print and copy feature, more savings by reducing paper use. I haven't had the opportunity to try the double sided scanning, but look forward to saving time on file and document management using that feature since much printing can now be done 2 sided. Lots of printing done in 1st month with no jams or problems. Some preprinted forms a couple of times had multiple forms pulled through at once. Otherwise, a perfect fit for our small office replacing an old printer and an old copier.

This printer is a one stop shop for your all in one equipment needs. Very good print quality and relatively easy to operate. Only complaint is that you have to open the rear door when printing a single voucher style check, otherwise it gets jammed.

Price match + free delivery for store PU. Payment was reduced by a laptop trade-in. Used to have Cannon monochrome MFC and HP Pro inkjet color printers with problems. This one replaced a Brother MFC-6800 that I had since 2001. I am very happy with Brother’s printers’ durability. It is a fast double-sided and economical printer. It has a built-in wireless or wired Ethernet networking. It is easy to setup. Thanks BB.

We have 4 of these for our small business. Print quality is very good, and I don't recall ever getting a paper jam. I like the paper saving print on two sides function, and envelopes don't get crinkled the way they have in other printers I have used. Recently, we thought we'd have to replace one of our 5900's, because we were getting some poor quality prints. I decided to repurpose it at our home office (where good quality printing isn't critical), and after replacing the drum and toner quality was as good as new. Meanwhile, as I contemplated whether to get a newer model (this was introduced in 2016) model to replace it, I ended up just getting this one again - it's just a good workhorse.

I have owned previous models in this series and have TWO of these. Set up was very easy. Both worked perfectly when first turned on. Wireless easy to set up. Print quality excellent, prints rapidly, scans well, scan feeder good. Both sided printing flawless.

I had a smaller brother multifunction but got tired of buying the cartridges. When it broke I moved to an Epson which worked great but the ink alone cost 80% of that printer and then it had connectivity issues. I returned it and got this and have never been happier. I can find aftermarket toners for cheap online and I actually do not miss the color as much as I thought I would. This is great for my small office and is fast as can be. I have it connected to my mac book pro via wifi and have had no communication issues at all! Get this when it is on sale and you will not be disappointed. Do not forget the Geek Squad warranty in case anything goes wrong! Love Best Buy!

It is faster and quieter but it doesn't play well with my Paperport scanning program. You have to switch back and forth from ADF and flatbed. This would automatically set-up to do both with my older Brother MFC and didn't have to switch back and forth, nor look for any additional instructions. wastes my time. On recommending depends if they are going to have the same problem. But if you not a records keeper, its a nice machine.

The Brother MFC products offer a lot of bang for the buck at very good prices. In my case this MFC is mainly used for printing and copying but also handles the occasional fax. Print quality is excellent and speedy. This unit is rated at 42 PPM and has duplexing. If you can wait to purchase you can usually find these on sale both at Best Buy and other online retailers.

Great printer and they finally have the ability to print on the front and back efficiently. Scanners are finally getting up to snuff as well, scanning both sides in one pass. I have bought Brother printers for years, they've never disappointed.

Fantastic device for a small office (6 people) that needs network printing, copying, faxing and scanning. Scanning to email or a specific device is a breeze. Setup is extremely easy. Will purchase for another office.

I highly recommend getting this printer! It is very fast and cuts down in time it takes to print several documents. It is also great for scanning and faxing. Toner can last for months depending on usage.

We purchased this one because older one (MFCL5850DW) broke after two years. It's working fine so far.

This printer runs very well, sometimes a delay in printing and generally has a slow start but once it gets moving it really pumps out the pages. It lasts long with heavy printing.
