Lovetempo - Live Or Die By Love - 12-INCH SINGLE [12 inch Vinyl Single]

Lovetempo is the brainchild of Mattie Safer, known for his work as the singer and bassist of Poolside and The Rapture. Since it's inception, Safer has fused saudade sentimentality and jazz-funk excursions with modern dancefloor sensibilities. Through body, soul, and basslines, lovetempo explores the triumphs and travails of the heart. This year he released two captivating singles, 'But I Do' out on Razor-N-tape, followed by 'Maybe In Another Life.' Both tracks got smashed on BBC6 Music, KCRW, and Jazz FM, with high praise from Gilles Peterson on both his shows. Here Lovetempo returns with 'Live Or Die By Love' that serves as both a manifesto and a mantra for his core message that love endures as a constant guiding force through love's challenges. It consists of three original cuts, the 90s house-influenced title track and two smooth disco cuts 'We Can Make It Happen' and 'Part-Time Love Affair'. The lead track receives a remix from the legendary Eric Kupper, celebrated for his collaborations with Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, and Arthur Baker, as well as his own solo remixes and productions. 'Lovetempo is in many ways the perfect musical project for me... it gives me an avenue to explore the soul, disco, and house music that makes up my list of desert island delights, and the space to work through the loneliness, longing, and sublime sweetness of modern romance with my lyrics.' -Giles PetersonTracklisting A1.
