Had another pancake lens that I needed to use an adapter with my M50. Wasn’t crazy about it but it did the job. Been looking at this lens for a few months and watching reviews and all were great. So, I finally pulled the trigger and wow! I was amazed! The image quality, size, weight, and Incant forget the Bokeh! All were amazing! Don’t think about it, just get one! You won’t regret it!

Excellent lens. The F/2 for close-up macro photography let you be very precise with what's in focus, and I'm really pleased with the crisp image it produced for golden hour portraits as well. The quiet auto-focus motor being able to track a subject in motion is pretty great as well. I was also pleasantly surprised to see it recommended for astrophotography of the Milky Way. The only major draw back (other than the obvious lack of zoom) is that the electronic manual focus ring is extremely sensitive when focusing on distant subjects (like mountains or stars). You need to use focus peeking and then zoom the digital display to make sure edges are sharp because just a few degrees of rotation will go right past the focus point. For closer and mid-range subjects, its not a problem.

Overall very good option for an EF-M Prime Lens. I use it with the Canon M50 Mark II, and it's been very good. Nice for stop-motion animations as well; good macro shots!

This lens has me not regretting my purchase of the Canon M6 MkII. Im a newbie and I've been impressed with this little lens. Camera doesn't look like much of anything to the regular joe with this lens on it.

I use this for aqauarium photography. Using this with autofocus allows for some very nice photos without the need for a flash.

This is a must have lens for your Canon M mirror less camera. This is an excellent lens for and travel, too.

The low F stop of 2.0 makes low light conditon shots pretty clear. I love the form factor size as well.

Awesome lens very high quality, I liked it, just the price a little too high imo. But overall lens is good!

Takes great low light pictures makes the m50 look small with big power.

Incredible little lens. I was on the fence because I don’t know much about cameras yet and didn’t understand the difference between this and the kit lens. I haven’t put the kit lens back on since I got this one. Phenomenal shots

Great lens, just not the lens I need. I needed 22-100mm

This is the lens used for my mirrorless Canon as a webcam. It provides a nice depth of field and background blur. The f stop set a 2 lets in more light than the factory lens. And it is very small and compact for a desk setup. The picture is sharp with nice autofocus as to be expected.

The lens is crystal clear and provides a very wide angle shot due to the 22mm focal length. You can get plenty of bokeh because of the wide aperture as well. It also has a metal mount so it feels very sturdy compared to the kit lens. The only major complaint I have with the lens is that it fits very tightly on the ef-m mount. This isn't a major concern, but it feels like I'm forcing it on sometimes because it's so tight.

The EF-M 22 is petite, versatile & sharp. After having the Canon M5 for over a year I finally purchased this lens. It has proven superb to all other lenses via the adapter & is incredibly small. Moreover, the f2 aperture is excellent for low light situations, & quite responsive to scenes I couldn't capture with the EF-M 18-150. This is a must have for any M camera if you want to enjoy it's full potential as a portable, candid set-up

I purchased this lens for my Canon EOS M50. This is an excellent lens - the optical quality is quite good in terms of contrast and also is very sharp even at f2. It lacks Image Stabilization, so may not be the best for hand held video, but for stills it is probably a must have for optical quality that gets very near to Canon's L Lenses. The equivalent 35mm full size sensor focal length is 35.2mm which is arguably ideal for a fixed focal length prime. Great for general and street photography. It is wonderfully small and mounted on the M50, the camera can be carried in a jacket pocket, for example. Background blur is pretty good. Highly recommended and affordable!

I originally bought the canon eos m50 for travel needed a prime I could travel with super small and compact. This one takes really sharp photos and awesome for low light keep in mind any beginner that this is not a zoom lens so because of it you get sharper photos and your feet are your zoom and wide enough for street photos. As a new user to the Canon M50, I love this lens! Great for low lighting conditions and depth of field effect. A favorite lens for food shots and closeups. Very compact too!

This is a wonderful fast prime lens that is incredibly small and lightweight! It's built really well with quality materials and mounts firmly to my Canon body. The metal focus ring is very smooth but sadly there is no manual Aperture ring. The focal length is perfect for my applications and the F2 takes in gobs of light. Very impressed with the sharpness and optics in general!

I bought this Canon lens to go with my earlier purchase of a Canon EOS M50. I had previously owned a Sony camera, which unfortunately did not survive a drop. I really like the Canon camera. This lens is light and pictures are incredible. Very happy with this purchase.
