There are some Canon L series lenses that leave users underwhelmed at the quality and wanting more, but for an everyday lens this Canon 24-70mm L cannot be beat. I was thoroughly impressed at the image quality and sharpness that this lens produced over a wide series of f stops with adequate light. The lens focuses lightning fast. The only SMALL complaint I had was that it's bulky and heavy, but that's expected when you're getting such high quality optics, workmanship, and parts.

I'm not accustomed to shooting shorter lenses (70-200 is my "normal lens"), so I have had to learn about using this one. It does provide very sharp images in the center of the frame, fast auto-focus. Does not have IS, but I have not found that to be a problem. Great lens for capturing wide-angle shots at concerts, although just a little short on reach if you want a close-up (unless you're on-stage). Good street photography lens.

Magazine cover quality lens. Creative and versatile. Focus is fast, images are sharp at all apertures even 2.8 Wish it had IS because sometimes I get a few blurry images at a shutter speed of 125 or 60 hand held. It's probably me though not holding the camera still. I also wish it had a little more zoom like 125 or so at times. Other than that it is excellent.

I have no complains. Weather sealed. Used for sports and portraits. The colors and sharpness are exceptional. This lens combined with my 7D mk II are really good/fast when it comes to focusing and tracking subjects. It's on the pricey side but it's a great investment.

After many years of doing photography as a hobby. I recently got hired as the 2nd photographer for a photography company. I only owned a 50mm f/1.8, 70-200 f/2.8 ll & a 14mm f/2.8. Let me tell you that for event photography this 24-70 f/2.8 ll is a work horse. The images I took were tack sharp. I could zoom in and see the pores on the subjects face. I’ve borrowed this lens in the past but i’m so glad to have my own. Worth every penny!

Its has been over a year since i purchased this lens and i absolutely love it for portraits. It is a major purchase but worth every penny.

Paring this lens with my 5D MK III is amazing!! 1) Glass is sharp at 24mm all the way through 70mm 2) Lens construction is built to last! 3) the Lens locking button is a feature that i didn't think i would use. But after having it and using it LOVE IT. 4) Love the RED RING around the lens! 5) Perfect walk around lens and low light concert shooting! Perfect for event photographers! 7) make sure to have a 70-200mm IS II to go along with it! *uploaded photos don't do the lens justice, just visit a Best Buy and ask the sales specialist if you can try it out for yourself!

Great lens! I am a professional photographer who primarily used prime lenses previously but this zoom lens has converted me. I use this for family, children and newborn photography. It’s quiet, the autofocus is spot on and my images always come out crisp. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a staple zoom lens!

I had been putting off getting this lens, because I couldn't justify the price. Then my 17-55 f2.8 broke, and I finally did it. Great image quality and, of course, that professional look.

I am an avid canon user and when I decided to upgrade my camera and then purchase my first L lens, Canon did not disappoint. This lens is a perfect compliment to my 5d Mark IV. It creates crisp, sharp detailed photographs, it is a perfect size range when you don't want to continually change out your lens for several photo situations. Perfect for subject and landscape. If you can only start out with 1 lens, this is the one!

The Canon EF24-70 mm F/2.8L II Zoom lens is on of the best lens for clarity, definition and ease of use I have ever seen. I was using the EF24-105 L F4.5 lens and this one has it beat 7 ways to Sunday for amazing pictures. I highly recommend it. Below is an example of what I am talking about taking with the lens

This is my go to lens! It's the one lens that I have the hardest time taking off the camera body. Great clarity, fantastic Bokeh! it's a great portrait lens and landscape lens. I would not leave home without it...

Sharpest zoom I have in my kit, and the images are outrageously clean. My 70-200 2.8 is still a fav, but now I have two lenses that blow me away over and over again. AF is fast on my 5D4 and tracks very nicely. Very pleased.

I researched lenses for months before purchasing this lens, and after reading reviews from other amateur and semi-pro photographers, I decided to purchase. I took this lens along on a trip overseas, thinking it would replace my need to switch wide angle and 50 mm lenses. It did a phenomenal job -- I was really impressed with how sharp the photos are, despite there not being IS. The only drawback is that this lens is HEAVY and, along with my 70-200mm lens, really weighed me down.

I love this lens. As a semi-pro photographer, this covers what I need when doing family shoots in close spaces.

I absolutely love this lens! I am so glad I took the plunge and purchased it! The pictures are so crisp. My next goal in the future is to purchase a full frame camera to accommodate this full frame lens.
