About this product
The Canon RF 16-28mm f/2.8 IS STM is an ultra-wide zoom lens designed for photographers and videographers who value portability without sacrificing performance. Distinguished as the smallest and lightest RF zoom lens to date, it combines a bright constant f/2.8 maximum aperture with a sleek build, making it a versatile choice for capturing expansive landscapes, architectural interiors, astrophotography, or handheld video content. Its optical construction incorporates four Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) elements and two aspherical elements arranged within a 16-element, 13-group design, ensuring sharpness, contrast, and color fidelity while minimizing chromatic aberrations and distortion. To further improve image quality, Canon applies a Super Spectra Coating (SSC) that reduces flare and ghosting, helping deliver clean, vibrant results even in backlit conditions. Built-in optical image stabilization compensates for up to 5.5 stops of camera shake and extends to an impressive 8 stops when paired with Canon’s in-body IS systems, ensuring crisp handheld images and stable video. Autofocus is powered by a leadscrew-type STM motor, offering fast, quiet, and precise subject tracking with minimal focus breathing, making it suitable for both stills and video applications. The lens’s rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to smooth bokeh, while a minimum focusing distance of 7.9" at 28mm allows for creative close-up compositions. Durable construction with weather-resistant sealing gives it performance akin to Canon’s L-series lenses, providing peace of mind during outdoor shoots. With its lightweight 1 lb design and 67mm filter compatibility, the RF 16-28mm f/2.8 IS STM is a powerful, travel-friendly lens that blends professional-grade performance with everyday convenience.Manufacturer Items Include:Canon RF 16-28mm f/2.8 IS STM Lens (Canon RF)Canon E-67 II Lens CapCanon Lens Dust Cap RFBundle Items Include:Canon RF 16-28mm f/2
