I needed a camera quickly to start live-streams and this one did not disappoint. It can record in 4K but I always use it in 1080p for live-streams and the picture looks very clear! The cameras best feature in my opinion is the zoom and the auto focus. I use this in a church and the camera is in the back. It’s able to zoom in long distances and autofocus without delay to get a crystal clear picture. I didn’t need to do any adjustments on the settings. I just opened the box and turned on the camera. Very nice camera. The microphone on the camera is very good but it picks up a lot of sound. If you’re in an area where there’s other sounds, if you can hear it then your camera can hear it. I had to buy a separate mic so it would stop picking up surrounding noise. Small issue but an amazing buy nonetheless.

Much better than the original HF G10. We use these to produce a national TV show, "Tommy's Garage." You can look us up and actually see the quality. It's that good. BIG PLUS- The files are much longer than the HFG10. It makes editing much easier. At this point? This cam is indistinguishable from expensive studio cameras. Only minor concern- And I mean REALLY minor... The auto setting works fine. But for indoor productions, it's better to go through the process of setting white balances, etc. if you have the time. Otherwise, it's a minor color correction in the edit. (Always a second choice) But don't fear the automatic. Like I said- EXTREMELY minor. And you'll face this exact scenario for any prosumer cam. ***If you stop by our website to check it out, you may see a reduced codec for internet play. But color, etc still looks great.

I have traveled the world with 2 of these VIXIA HF G50 4K Camcorders telling the story about about how my ancestors came to leave the old country for America. I have taken this camera into all sorts of weather events and less than ideal environments and I've never lost any footage. If you lose power while recording, be sure to re-connect to electricity and re-power up with the camera chip inside without any changes made to the card and it will re-assemble a fixed video file as it can detect a power-related file write error has occured. Bit of a slow auto focus at times, little too noisy in dark environments, but it's an 8-bit 4:2:0 based device so you can't really expect too much in that regard. on-board microphone is only good for reference, be sure to invest in a proper mic via the shoe on top. only feature i wish it had was some sort of timecode sync when you run two at a time, the only way to do so is via input microphone

I like this camera and it takes great videos. Controls are easy to use especially for big hands. Its a little heavy but that is because it is solid and actually i prefer that because it doesn't feel like it will break just by moving the controls or opening the display. Also records in an easy to use format that can be played anywhere. My only complaint is price is pretty high. Not saying it isn't worth the money but its just a little high. And I wish it came with a camera bag. But like I said great videos and i havnt even used half the zoom yet.

This camera is amazing it takes great 4K video I use it for my business and the auto focus is spot on. I love how you can zoom in and out with the push of a button. Just make sure if you’re going to buy this you need to get bigger sd memory cards because the 4K videos are large files. Love this camcorder I highly recommend it!

Takes great pictures and videos. The built in microphone picks up audio very well. Very easy to setup and use. It also has space for 2 memory cards. Good battery life. This camera can record while on AC power so it's great for recording long meetings.

i love this camera. the image and control are both exceptional at this price point. the color response in low light is the only complaint i have. every other function for the price point is excellent. battery life is superb. dual memory cards superb. i use thks to stream. i use this to record content in various environments to produced videos posted to internet. photo function is extermely useful. For its prie point it is a great buy!

As someone that works in the video world - this little camera is right on the cusp of being a pro level camera. Loaded with features, it delivers great quality video. Feels good in the hand - for those wanting a “grab and go” camera. Screen is of good size - and as a long time Canon user - its screen is intuitive and easy to use. This is one of my B cameras as I have it setup to capture quick on-the-go footage. At this price point, everyone should have one!

Easy to use. Great zoom and image stabilizer works well. Battery last much longer then expected.

I ordered this for recording church services. This is our first effort at video for our church. The Vixia HF G50 is exactly what we needed. Simple to operate and start recording videos right out of the box, and the quality is excellent. We especially needed an external audio input to input sound from our mixer, which this has and it works great. Some of the settings are a little difficult to find in the onboard menu, but that is my only complaint. A great camera all the way around.

I bought this to live stream our church worship service and it is pretty amazing. It has a clean HDMI signal so you don't have any text on the image that goes into the switch. Our sanctuary isn't very bright but the images are clear and not grainy in the least bit. The price is high but the quality you get really is worth it if you can afford it. You won't be disappointed.

There's a little bit of a learning curve for this camera, but it takes great video and captures good quality sound. I love the face-tracking feature in auto focus, but you have to make sure it's actually set up to do that or you might end up with 30 minutes of a blurry-faced subject walking feet in front of some very clear trees. So far the only problems I've found with it are from user error.

This is my second purchase of this camcorder. Great quality, with backup SD slot and a great picture.

Love this cam. It’s light weight and the quality of the video looks great. It was easy to figure out how to use, except I never did figure the remote out before I lost that. I wish the cables it comes with were longer but they work ok. Lots of different settings and the extra lense thing it comes with is very interesting. Going to be trying that out soon.

This camera is excellent. I sit it on a tripod stand during games and it has not disappointed me!

I purchased this camera to help out with some church stuff during virtual meetings. The video quality is excellent. The options that this camera provides are a good mix for beginners and those wanting to move past that level without spending too much money. I have used it to record speakers and will also use it to stream live. I am definitely happy with this purchase.
