    Exceeded My Expectations

    This was the first camcorder I have purchased in over 20 years, and my how the technology has advanced. I wanted to be able to take videos of my sons lacrosse games and I must say the quality of the footage at 60p is amazing, even at indoor facilities with dimmer lighting. Initial setup was fairly easy. (battery does take about 7 hours for the initial charge) I went with the R800 over the other 2 models with internal storage and just got a 64gb memory card instead. I like to transfer my videos the same day I shoot them so I can keep them organized on my external storage drive. I also read a lot of reviews on the wifi features of the more expensive versions and decided it wasn't worth spending the extra dollars on. I keep a JOBY - GorillaPod™ 325 Tripod attached to it if I need to set it down, and also to help keep it steady in my shaky hand. Overall I am very pleased with this camcorder features, ease of use, and quality of videos. When I found it on sale for $169 at Best Buy, I was even happier :)

    So happy with the purchase

    Si happy with the purchase. The camcorder wala si easy to operate. Just charge the battery before use, insert memory card then Point and shoot. Your memories will last a lifetime

    Yes. It records well in 1080p or lower resolution, and you can choose a file type that uploads directly to YouTube (from your computer).

    It comes with and internal microphone which works well and it comes with an external microphone input connection so you can connect other mics. I believe it may be available with a remote WiFi connected microphone, but am not sure.

  • Would this be good for recording an indoor wedding?

    If you are recording for less the 15min straight then yes...if your planning to set the camera up to record the whole ceremony straight and more then 15 min then no because this camera will divide the video into multiple clips from that 1 video and if hou put them back together with your pc it will skip

    Yes, this will work fine, however save yourself a ton of time and upload it to a video share service :)
