This mount meet all of my requirements. 1. Mount close to wall 2. Works with studs that are 18" apart. 3. Works with studs that are not exactly centered on the wall. This mount's extension is amazing! Less than 3" to 25". My 46" Samsung can almost turn to 90 degrees! Cable management works well too. I had to use 2 HDMI adapters (one adjustable and one 90 degree) to allow my HDMI cable to connect to the TV with the mounting brackets attaches to the TV. Probably an poor Samsung design than TV mount flaw. Same thing for the fibre optic audio cable. Don't forget to get price match with Amazon!

I need to say that all the problems I had originally were taken care of by the Geek Squad and I have to say Vince Cardin and his partner who re-installed the 2 TV's&1 smaller one on the wall and wires inside the walls are the BEST THAT YOU HAVE AND WHEN I NEED HELP AGAIN I WILL ASK FOR THOSE 2 ONLY and WILL RECOMMEND BOTH TO EVERY ONE WHO NEEDS HELP WITH THE GEEK SQUAD! I live in an over 55 community and will post a note there as we all need help at one time or another. THEY WENT OVER AND ABOVE TO HELP ME!

Perfect slim mount, can't even tell it's movable from side. Strong as well.

Everything except the weight is awesome. It is super sturdy, safely holds my tv, swivels so easily and gives a perfect view from every angle.

very strong bracket. holds my 55" 4k very well. did everything i wanted it to do. just a little high on price, but why go cheap when you spen the money on a new 4k

Got it on sale for a good price. It installs easy and it tilts slides and pivots well. When installing check where it mounts to the TV before you put it on the wall

This mount is very well build and has an excellent range of motion. I had it installed by Best Buy, although I likely could have done it myself.

This swing arm mount although very heavy is built like a rock. I have no fear moving my 75 inch TV around. Once some minor adjusting, loosening the nuts 1/4 turn at the pivot points allowed for smooth, effortless movement of the TV and it stayed right were I set it at.

I installed this yesterday and found the construction very good and the packaging excellent. This was my first wall mount installation and I was pleased that there was plenty of extra hardware accommodating a lot of variable options (mine was one of them) and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only shortcoming was the wall brackets. As noted by others, it was designed for 16" studs, but that assumes that the center of the desired TV location is someplace between the studs. In my case the center was directly over the stud so when pushed flat to the wall it is not/cannot be centered. All they needed to do was add a few inches to these two brackets to make this product perfect. Somebody needs to fire their cost accountant and listen to their customers (maybe read a review or two). Once pulled out a few inches it easily centers, but this is less than perfect for a premium mount that costs this much. Hell, give me an accessory option to buy longer brackets for $20 and call it a day. Overall I am very pleased with this mount and would consider Chief products the next time. If you are considering this product and need to be flat to the wall make sure that you locate your studs first and make sure that the desired center is 6 to 8" between your studs. If that is the case you will love the mount, if not you will not be happy.

My biggest complaint is with the tilt adjustment. In order to adjust the tilt tension you must tilt the tv down in order to expose the adjustment nuts. So, if tighten the nuts to much you won't be able to tilt the tv back up to a straight position. If you loosen the nuts just enough to move the tv up it wont stay up. So, the tv will always lean forward! This is a dumb setup. Note. my tv is a 50 inch plasma and weight 100 pds. Also, I had to cut the upper and lower interface brackets in order for them to fit properly.

We used this with a Sony KDL-40R450A 40-Inch 60Hz 1080p LED HDTV. We had to move the brackets around since it was a fairly small TV for this unit but works as advertised!

This is the best mount for my 55' TV. Free motion really makes it easy to handle.

Product is good, just not happy that the manufacturing date is 2013 when I'm purchasing in 2015; product is 2 years old.
