About this product
2017 from the singer/songwriter best known as the frontman of Men At Work. Fierce Mercy is an epic, cinematic step forward from singer/songwriter, Colin Hay, most beloved for his intimate, confessional live shows and songs that can draw a tear from the most unlikely listeners, including Metallica frontman, James Hetfield, who recently included one of Colin's songs on his public playlist. Fierce Mercy explores the themes of love and loss but always with the singular perspective and acerbic wit that has defined Hay's work since his days as front man of the wildly popular '80s band, Men at Work. Now finding himself in the unprecedented place of having both' 80s fame and indie credibility, Hay has created a new classic in his already impressive body of work, using a palette of pop songcraft, Americana flourishes, and soundtrack ready strings. Recorded in both Los Angeles and Nashville and mixed by Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton, Jack White) and Gordon Hammond (Buddy Miller, Don Williams), it's possible that Hay has delivered the defining album of his career. Album Tracks 1. Come Tumblin Down 2. Secret Love 3. A Thousand Million Reasons 4. The Best in Me 5. Frozen Fields of Snow 6. The Last to Know 7. I'm Going to Get You Stoned 8. I'm Walking Here 9. Limited six vinyl LP pressing. Narrowing down The Grateful Dead's touring career and live performances to 60 CDs, 20 venues, and more than 450 songs is hard enough. Narrowing THAT down for 3CD and 6LP sets is a monumental undertaking, but with so much great music to select from, it's one of the most enjoyable compilations we've ever assembled. This nearly four hour collection contains one song (or two, or three...) from every show in the Dead's new road tripping boxed set, ENJOYING THE RIDE, which brings together music from 20 (21...) of the most essential venues in Grateful Dead and Dead Head history. This compilation is crafted with songs spanning the 25 years in the boxed set, 1969-1994. Drawn from such iconic venues as Red Rocks, Frost Amphitheatre, Greek Theatre, Fillmores East and West, Madison Square Garden, Alpine Valley, and many more, THE MUSIC NEVER STOPPED features such classics as InchTruckin',Inch InchEyes Of The World,Inch InchScarlet Begonias,Inch the title track, and plenty of under the radar tracks like InchBig Boy Pete,Inch InchMy Brother Esau,Inch and InchDoin' That Rag.Inch This is a career-defining live collection filled with some of the greatest tracks performed at their greatest venues. - David Lemieux Album Tracks 1. Limited eight vinyl LP box set. Trying to decide which Grateful Dead concert to reissue on vinyl is kind of like ordering from the menu of a three-star restaurant no matter what you pick, it's not just going to be good, it's also going to be unique and memorable. Faced with such an embarrassment of riches, and trying to remain true to our vision of hitting a different year with each , we decided to do what any sensible Dead Head would do go BIG. Hence, our 8-LP of Dick's Picks Vol. 33! Fresh from a year-and-a-half touring hiatus, and back to full, two-drummer strength, the Dead opened for The Who as part of Bill Graham's historic Day on the Green concerts in 1976. This Pick captures both dates in their entirety, and features one of the most monumental medleys (and that's sayin' something!) in band history with a 60-minute, 10-song journey through InchSt. StephenInch/InchNot Fade AwayInch/InchSt. StephenInch/InchHelp on the WayInch/InchSlipknot!Inch/InchDrumsInch/InchSamson and DelilahInch/InchSlipknot!Inch/InchFranklin's TowerInch/InchOne More Saturday NightInch on the first day.
