I really liked the product - you can start the car remotely, warm up, start alarms if someone touches the car

Everything came on time and all accessories including installing and parts was on point. Work really well and easy to use and easy to learn.

I have had this for 6 months now, best remote start, gps, and alarm system I’ve had. 2001 corvette.

This alarm is better than expected! Great quality and the drone feature works great for getting my vehicle warmed up before I arrive back to work. Would definitely recommend.

Bought this mainly for the security system. It’s very loud and notifies me whenever someone’s messed with my car through the key fob. Very good investment

The system does not come with instructions. Hence, it will take awhile be fore I know what system can do. If this system is what was included in my camera units it does not help because the system does not beep when something approaches the car.

This recommendation from the Best Buy installer was an excellent choice. A little on the high end but it is what I was looking for. The installation was a short and once I got my vehicle back and he showed how to operate.

I bought a Compustar system because the website clearly stated that installation was included. That was one of the main reasons I chose to make the purchase. But when I brought it in for installation, I was told I’d have to pay an additional $200 — something that was never mentioned online. To make matters worse, I was also informed that I needed to purchase a separate harness for the install, which cost another $80 — and they didn’t even carry it in-store. I had to go find it elsewhere on my own, adding more time, hassle, and unexpected expense to the process. As a Total Tech member since 2021, this was incredibly disappointing. I’ve paid for this membership for years with the understanding that it would cover installations like this. At the very least, I expected honest and upfront communication. This whole experience felt like a bait-and-switch. If installation isn’t actually included — and if extra parts are required that you don’t even stock — customers deserve to know that before making a purchase. I expected more transparency and much better service, especially as a long-time paying member. I’ll seriously be reconsidering where I take my business going forward.

Excellent auto start and car alarm very intuitive. The installer at the Bridgwater falls location was very knowledgeable and helpful and the staff treated me very well making sure I had something to drink and a charger for my phone while I waited for the installation to be completed!

I was sold on this as being the best. I cant begin to explain how disappointed i was with how this was installed into my vehicle and what i had to go through to get it removed, all i can say is be careful with who installs it ! Wish i could write a better review.

Everything came in well but when I was looking for the controller with the screen so I can charge it before the installation a 4 button battery controller came out. I purchased one of the screen controllers before but this one was swapped out or something for a lower item. Funny thing is that it also came with a charger cable and the box and website itself say it has a LCD control but no luck for me.I would appreciate some help trying to figure this out and then i can change my review if possible.

I put car starters in all my vehicles. I've installed them myself in the past but this one had to be installed by Best Buy. Brian, the installer and Ithaca did a great job and he's a good guy to have installing this for us. We enjoyed our stay at the Ithaca New York location, we sat in the mall on a comfortable sofa with our laptop and tablet and enjoyed the atmosphere. The installation went well and we are really enjoying being able to start arm and disarm our vehicle from any location using the Drone app which we will continue to use for several years I'm sure. It's nice to have an alarm on our Kia Sorento seeing how these vehicles are targeted for theft these days. It's nice to be able to get in a warm vehicle and even see the temperature for the inside of the vehicle from the app, that's really cool! The app also shows you much more, like how many hours you've been driving and if you violated any traffic violations as per speeding. This is my third copy star product but the first that has the car starter and alarm combination. I've been wanting one of these for a long time but I've been waiting for a good sale and it finally went on sale. You should buy one if you want it because there's nothing I was out there they can match this quality and features.

Very nice alarm with many great features. Only reason not a 5 star is because it’s LOUD and not just the alarm. The key fob is quite loud when you arm, disarm, remote start, etc. Wish I could somehow adjust the volume of the siren in the car and the key fob. Love that siren is so loud if someone was breaking in but not so much when I’m disarming it at 5 am. If I use the fob in the house it beeps so loud it wakes people up. Alarm is updatable so maybe it will change. I would still buy this even with this “issue”

I absolutely love this Compustar 2-Way Remote Start and Security system. It has been a great upgrade for my vehicle, and having the installation included made the whole purchase even better. One of my favorite features is the DroneMobile GPS/LTE technology. Being able to use my phone to remotely start and keep track of my vehicle adds a level of convenience and peace of mind that I really appreciate. The 2-way remote is also great because I get confirmation that the command actually went through instead of having to wonder if my vehicle started. For me, this setup is a much more affordable alternative to services like OnStar while still giving me the remote access, GPS features, and security that I was looking for. Everything works great, the system feels high quality, and I’ve been extremely happy with it. If you’re looking for a remote start system with added security, GPS tracking, and smartphone control without spending a fortune on a factory subscription service, I highly recommend this Compustar system. Definitely worth the money!

Love the keyless entry start up and the Security System. Makes me feel protected from auto thefts!
