I purchased the 14000 btu size to cool a 500+sf second floor bedroom but it is not strong enough to keep the room cool. Lowering the temperature from 82 to 75 F initially took about 3 hours however the fan is not strong enough to circulate the cool air across the room so the far side of the room is much warmer than the thermostat reading. The unit also draws a lot of current so when I tried to use floor fans to move the cool air lights started flickering. The sound level is moderate but too loud to sleep without ear plugs. Overall I would not recommend this for a large bedroom.
