In the annals of soul music history, singer/songwriter/producer/entrepreneur/ /tag owner George Kerr will always be considered an instrumental figure in the music's development. After a stint as a replacement for Little Anthony with the Imperials, Kerr became a member of the Serenaders, a New York based group. After an audition with Berry Gordy, he relocated for a brief time to Detroit where he honed his skills as a songwriter and producer. Pairing a singer with a song had always been one of George's great talents. A case in point would be Linda Jones and the song InchHypnotizedInch that became a huge hit in the mid-1960's - or being the first producer to record a soul group (The Escorts) behind bars (all the members were in prison). Fearless and adventurous, Kerr has remained a vital figure in soul music, particularly in New Jersey (his home turf) with successes in every decade since he started out. In 1971, George released InchIf This World Were MineInch - a solo EP containing four strong songs, including the title track. For this remastered , an additional four songs from the same period have been added as a bonus. Album Tracks 1. If This World Were Mine 2. How Can I Get Away (From Me for a While) 3. Love Is God Almighty 4. Love Is a Hurtin' Thing 5. Sunday 6. Can You Dig Where I'm Comin' from 7. All the Way 8. Just As Long (Feat. Tracy Kerr)

David Friesen and Glen Moore, two of the more influential bassists in jazz, recently teamed for a tour through Europe concluding with this, their third duo recording over the last 40 years. Add the decade between their initial meeting in Seattle before their first recording, 1977's InchIn ConcertInch (Vanguard), and the total time they've been working together comes to 50 years. Named for the two-humped camel native to the steppes of central Asia, InchBactrianInch offers ample new proof that these old friends continue to take great glee in surprising and challenging each other, their listeners, and themselves. InchBassist David Friesen is a phenomenon, a player whose musicianship, tone, time and imagination are uncategorizable.Inch Album Tracks 1. Still Waters 2. Free Play 3. Hoe Down 4. Soft As Silk 5. Caravan 6. Return 7. Seam Line 8. Time and Time Again/Brilliant Heart 9. Summer Time 10. Kontrast 11. The Bactrian
