I bought a less expensive docking station online, but after about two years it began to fail. I work from home and most of what I do is on my laptop. This docking station has been so reliable and the clairity of my external monitor has improved. It's been a month that I have been using it so far it is excellent. My laptop is a Dell and this unit is Dell so I think that enhances compatibiltiy.

Excellent docking station for my older hard drive, monitor & other add-ons. Plus it charges the computer so I don't even need to have the charge cable plugged.

I've used this for 7ish hours a day, 5 days a week, for nearly two years. The only issue I have is that a pair of my wired headphones plugged in via USB 3 seems ends up sounding distorted.
