Had over a month now and definitely recommend it! Love that there are no huge gaps between the keys, perfect for smaller hands, the keys are backlit, the sleek design makes it easy to take anywhere. Many reviews mention the battery life as a con but honestly have not experienced a reason to be on my computer for more than 6-8 hours so no complaints here.

First-off I want to be clear. I love new tech and like Best buy., doesn't matter the brand or ecosystem but truly appreciate a good implementation of good idea. This one is NOT. Started-off good with updates , followed by thermal throttling, excessive heat, always ON fan, speakers popping to name a few, all on same day. I was truly hoping that this will replace my MBP or Surface device but was I wrong!! 3rd day speakers and mic stopped working just before a zoom call. Did more "updates' of BIOS, Device Mgrs etc per Dell support..but in vain. Did a fresh install of W11 which worked fine for 10 mins then led to 3 BSOD's and 2 BlkSOD's in a span of 15 minutes (all while watching unrelated Ytube). I don't know if its QA or what, but my device was NOT a lemon (I think) as some have gotten. It worked well during the 2-day honeymoon phase and not after that. I'm very disappointed as I was truly hoping that this will be good and replace my existing units but there might be more issues coming down the path (just as many avoided R.z.r..sorry). Many updates and tinkering is needed for this to be a primary portable (less powerful) daily driver, I will keep trying to make this work but will be mindful to recommend this today. Keyboard/touchpad can get used to of but that's a minor issue.

This was my first experience with Dell XPS 13. I was overjoyed that I was finally able to afford this premium laptop. I loved the display, the design, the invisivle trackpad, even the capacitive touchbar and the lack of ports (which a lot of people see as cons). I was willing to overlook these "cons". The keyboard design is stunning and feels really good! The 3.5k OLED display is phenomenal! But yet, today I had to return it, because it just gets really hot, even with normal use (a few Chrome tabs open, youtube, MS word, all together). This is my normal use. On battery, I had it set on Battery Efficient use and the Dell Performance settings to Cool or Optimal at times. It was too hot to have it in my lap. My palms were sweating while using it because the top surface was warm. The fan is not noisy, but not enough to cool the laptop. I didn't see any throttling issues with it being hot, but it was just not comfortable to use anymore. I could use it on the table top, plugged in, but then I was worried about running into throttling issues, since so many others had reported. This was Open Box, but in excellent condition (per Best Buy). I checked a shelf model in the store as well, but it was also really hot from the bottom, compared to Dell XPS 13 FHD. A bit heart broken. I really wanted Dell XPS 13.

I bought an open-box (Excellent). The machine worked pretty great right and looked almost new. I have been using the laptop for about 8-9 months for school - for class and such. As a laptop it's great, and I love it. (PS - I recently dropped the laptop with the USB connected and damaged it, so I only have one working port for charging which does make me nervous. However, this was my fault.)

Battery runs out quickly and it takes time to recharge.
