My old computer came to en end after 15 years with all the upgrades it went through. So, did a deep search for a strong device. Dell is a trusted brand has proved itself. There were a few options with all the specs I needed and this one together with the deal it had was a jackpot. First start was very smooth. Started as a new computer and transferred a few folders and docs manually (it asked if I want to use the software to transfer everything from the old one). The device is fast and responsive for everything I have used so far. Heavy business related softwares (bioinformatics), video and high resolution image processing and some gaming. Did not get any issues. Has been 3-4 months and running strong. Looks like it will be another long run with it.

Easy set up. Quiet and fast. Very happy with this one. I have always had Dells both towers and laptop. I would recommend this computer.

I upgraded from my older PC to this because I do a lot of graphics work in LightRoom and Photoshop. Processing is more than twice my old PC and setup was fast and simple. The only slightly negative thing is that the cooling fan is a little loud and I'll be looking at installing a liquid cool option at some point.

I've worked in many an office over the last few decades and had some sharp IT people put really great equipment on my desk that far exceeded what I had at home. A moment arrived when I needed something at home - really good - and I purchased this and it's absolutely top-notch in performance. Fast, smooth-as-silk in everything I've thrown at it. This is the pc I've wanted at home forever. Both hardware and software run like lightning and it's an absolute pleasure every time I sit down and do anything on this Dell. Awesome in every way.

Outstanding machine. I had outgrown my old tower unit and needed a fast replacement with more storage. Geek Squad transferred my old computer content to new computer.

The computer is very fast and works well. My only complaint is that the specs failed to mention that the 2 TB of RAM consists of two 1 TB instead of one 2 TB SSD.

This is a great machine, but don't order it from Best Buy. It was supposed to arrive next day, but was about 4 days late. BestBuy did not provide the package to UPS on time which was their issue.

Beautiful okd style computer with power. It has a card slot still for my sd cards. Set up was easy. Wide unit but not too high and I can add even more memory. Easy open area to get in and clean the unit. Enough usb for all my external stuff to run.

It is loud at heavy load, but at clearance pricing the value cannot be beat by anything.

I think I may eventually like this computer. That said, I received it on December 9th and so far, it has been in the repair shop for most of the time! After a 1-day repair at my local Best Buy shop (re-format NVM disk and reinstall OS), I started loading programs onto the machine but within 4-days, once again something happened to the main NVM disk (couldn't find boot device). I had just thrown out the box and Best Buy was unwilling to return the defective product, so it was sent out to a repair depot in New York. On December 23rd I received a notice it was being shipped back to my local Massachusetts store. After 11 days, it still has not shown up! The notes from local store said they should replace the NVM disk--hopefully they didn't simply re-format the drive again. So, I spent over $1,800 and for the most part, I haven't been able to use the device. I'm not sure I would buy a Dell product again or use Best Buy's Geek Squad.

This Dell XPS 8960 is very fast and easy to use, now if we could get up to speed on Windows 11. As we were running Windows 7 pro, very different, but it's a learning curve and only been working with this for 18 days.
