Gift that went wrong

I purchased the lock set as a gift. I haven’t used it and it wasn’t needed as a gift. I found out at customer service that it wasn’t sold by Best Buy (even though it was purchased from Best Buy site as a deal of the day) it wasn’t even opened. I was told that I only had 14 days to return the item. Be aware of Best Buy return policy and every one else also because according to Best Buy it wasn’t sold by them?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
