As a content creator and a drone enthusiast, I’ve always been on the lookout for tools that elevate my work, and this gimbal has seamlessly integrated into my kit, becoming an extension of my creative vision. The DJI Osmo 5 isn’t just a stabilizer; it’s a magic wand that turns ordinary videos into cinematic experiences. The ease of use is unparalleled – it’s like having a professional film crew right in your pocket. The gimbal’s portability means I can capture smooth, stabilized footage anywhere, from the bustling streets of Big Rapids, MI, to the serene landscapes surrounding it. Whether it’s for my digital marketing content or capturing life’s spontaneous moments, the Osmo 5 has got me covered. What truly sets the Osmo 5 apart is its intelligent features. The ActiveTrack 4.0 has been a game-changer, keeping my subjects in sharp focus, while the gimbal does the heavy lifting of ensuring buttery-smooth footage. The gesture control feature is nothing short of revolutionary – it’s like having a personal photographer who’s always ready to snap a photo or record a video, no hands needed! For my fellow creators and anyone looking to add a professional sheen to their videos, the DJI Osmo 5 is a no-brainer. If you’re on the fence about it, take the leap – your future self will thank you for the cinematic memories you’ll create!

The DJI OM 5 is a great alternative to using a Full-Size Gimbal. Its small size makes it extremely portable and comfortable to use anywhere. Your smartphone attaches to the Gimbal by a magnet that clips onto your device. This makes for a fast and easy setup since you do not have to balance it like you do with a Full-Size Gimbal. The DJI has a plethora of cool features that you can control through the DJI MIMO app such as zoom control, tracking, and even a shot guide. My biggest dislike about the DJI OM 5 is when panning up, the device cannot rotate to far. This is not a huge issue but it can cause you to miss your shot occasionally. Overall, This is a great tool to keep in your camera bag. You never have to worry when your main camera dies because you can just pull out the DJI OM 5 and start filming on your phone!

Ever since the unboxing of my DJI OM 5, my smartphone videos have never been the same. They've gone from "just okay" to "absolutely stunning"! Let me break down why I've fallen head over heels for this little gadget. Unboxing and Setup: Straight from the box, the OM 5 impressed with its sleek design and compact size. The foldable design is so handy, and it actually fits in my small bag with ease! The setup was also a breeze. Even if you’re not tech-savvy (like me!), the instructions were simple, and I had my phone stabilized and ready to shoot within minutes. Easy Peasy Smartphone Mounting: I was worried about fitting my slightly older smartphone model, but voila, no issues at all! The clamp adjusted perfectly to my phone, and it held it securely without making me nervous about accidental drops. Run, Walk, Jump - Still Smooth: I took the OM 5 for a test during my jogs, and the results blew me away! I could run, jump, and spin, and my footage remained beautifully smooth. No more shaky videos, and my social media stories now look so professional. Battery Life That Lasts: What stood out was the impressive battery life. I managed to use the OM 5 throughout an entire day of sightseeing without having to recharge it. It was such a relief not to carry around extra power banks! Fun and Practical Shooting Modes: The shooting modes are a joy to explore! From cool panoramic shots to slow-motion videos, it brought out the hidden filmmaker in me. The ActiveTrack feature was also a hit - keeping me in focus even while I moved around, making solo shooting fun and easy. The Extendable Selfie Stick: The built-in extension rod is my secret to those eye-catching wide-angle selfies and group shots. Plus, it's subtle enough not to make it look like a typical selfie stick - it’s like my little secret weapon for killer shots! App Experience: The DJI Mimo app needed a mention. The seamless integration with the gimbal opens up so many creative possibilities and it was pretty straightforward to navigate. However, there were a few hiccups with connectivity initially, but once past that, it was smooth sailing. A tiny bit of criticism: the OM 5 could be a little more intuitive with the controls, as I found myself referring back to the manual a few times to understand all the functionalities. But, once I got the hang of it, my videos undoubtedly upgraded a notch (or three)! In summary, the DJI OM 5 has reshaped my video capturing experience, making it significantly smoother and more professional-looking with minimal effort. Whether you're a vlogging pro or someone like me who just loves capturing moments in the best way possible, this gadget is a worthy investment!

I bought this gimbal initially for the purpose of creating videos, but found that its application includes a panorama function, something which has always been a favourite picture-taking activity of mine. Not even a month or so after buying it, I had to return it to the manufacturer because something went haywire with the motor. I've not had any issues with it since, so I'll attribute that to a freak glitch. Recently, I have been using the gimbal with a Google Pixel 7 and I'm having focus issues. That is, during the device's nine-exposure (3 x 3) sequence for creating a panorama, the camera won't find focus before the camera makes the exposure for that part of the sequence. Weirdly, I didn't have this issue with a Google Pixel 6a, so I don't know if its the phone or the gimbal. I have suggested to DJI that the app include a lock-focus feature so that this doesn't occur. Below area samples of the out-of-focus frames—by themselves and in final panorama form... despite that the two frames were out of focus, it still managed to stitched them together with the other seven frames. Despite this focus problem (which is sporadic), the application does a fantastic job of stitching images together, something I did not expect.

I’m not an avid videographer but having this for my kids sports and my daughters concerts are a godsend. No more arm cramps trying to hold steady while recording. Videos are always buttery smooth and the app with tracking is phenomenal. 10/10 highly recommend

Dji makes the best products overall. Easy to use and amazing quality

Great product, I totally recommend it for travelers and tourists.

Small, light weight, compact, easy to use, good for group photos… etc it fits perfectly in my hand and small enough to put into jean pocket. OM5 is probably the best gimbal in the market atm.

I really love this DJI Omni stick I use it all the for pictures and videos and they come out perfect.I highly recommend it for anyone

Really love my dji OM5! - Easy to use - Helps creating amazing shots / videos from my phone I can’t wait to use this on my next adventure.

I love it..it is light and stable. I also like the extension rod, good for selfie.

The used product was great. Seems like new one. I will now buy more used ones because it is great value for money.

If you travel a lot and shoot tons of long exposure photos, videos, or hyper-lapses, this is THE BEST thing you can get for 150$ that can help get better shots. It is so handy!.. (get it? because you will be holding it?)

Really good to use on car shows specially in big crowds you could lift it up and still get nice clear pictures or videos with out getting ppls head on your shoots.

Best gimbal for the price and even better I got it when it was on sale for $129. Can't wait to cretae lifetime memories with it.

It’s Fab-ulous. I rate it 5 stars, easy to use, good quality. It’s rated the best on the market and you definitely get what you pay for.

I loved it. It gives you easy instructions and tutorials for the proper use. On of the best purchase I've ever made.

This is the latest on the Osmo line. I used briefly the 1st generation and I was impressed, but it was not as practical. This improves leaps and bounds. It's the lightest yet (by far) and it's the first with a built-in extension (I.e. selfie stick). Build quality is excellent. It's easy to fold and open with minimal practice. The gimbal arm feels solid. Top-notch metal hinges and comfortable handle. The built-in extension is so well built that the first time I used it, did not notice this is extensible until I saw the demo videos. While it doesn't extend as far as other sticks, it's exceedingly stable. Nothing flimsy here. The controls feels just like one would expect from a high-end camera. For the most part, controls are intuitive: • Left side: On/off button and mode (photo/video) switch. • Zoom control (L-W). • Rear: A trigger used for locking a target when tracking. • Front: Joystick, photo/record, orientation/camera, trigger. • Right: USB-C charger. Connects to the phone via Bluetooth. Once paired, it connects right away with no issues. This can only be used to take pictures and videos with the 'DJI Mimo' app. When I first opened the app, I was a bit concerned by the license agreement for this, but had to accept it in order to use this device. Pleasantly, it didn’t require to register it with a DJI account. This is only required if using the DJI storage service. The app saves everything to the camera roll on the iPhone like any other camera app. The application has several good options and the object / face tracking is excellent. There are plenty of tooltips and tutorials through the app. Very helpful the first time but the demo videos can get in the way at first or not load correctly. The application is fine and does what one would expect. Doesn't have a lot of filters or effects besides some tracking modes, and since it saves to the camera roll it’s not a big issue. Also did not find a setting to save photos in raw mode. The object tracking is great. I was impressed as well as others I showed this to. The gimbal is 3-axis, meaning it can rotate left and right and up and down. Horizontally, it moves about, say, 270 degrees and the up and down movement is severely limited. It has three motors. Coordination and stability is excellent. The bracket that holds the phone is well made with excellent grip and very strong magnets. What’s not so great is that it cannot rotate 360 degrees and the vertical movement is limited. This is not a big issue in most cases however but it would be great to have. Also the application is great for beginners but could use more pro-level features. On iPhone at least, which is what I use, doesn't support integration with other camera apps or filters. Otherwise, quality is excellent and I don't know anything else that compares to this in features, build quality, precision and responsiveness.

I like this DJI OM5 as it is now a built-in selfie stick to help you more easily capture selfies. Unfortunately, battery life has been reduced from 15 hours on the OM 4 to about 6 hours on the OM5 as it is 25% lighter compared to the OM 4, with a slightly smaller design. It doesn’t need a magnetic sticker on your phone.

Not as sturdy as the DJI OM 4. Plus it can’t be used to charge your phone, which is another advantage of the OM4. However, it’s advantage is the selfi stick and it’s economical size. Having them both is a luxury. If you can afford it, you are better off with both.
