The device is comfortable to hold, and the automatic flash mode works well when moving across larger areas. For smaller areas, it’s easy to maintain control and target specific spots. After consistent use, I noticed slower regrowth and finer hair in several treated areas. I’ve needed to shave less often, and my skin feels smoother between sessions. The controls are simple to understand, making each treatment straightforward. I waited nearly a week after receiving the product before writing this review. My first impression of the TrueMe Astra hair removal device was that it’s very well-built. The ice-green body looks premium, and it’s effortless to hold with one hand—even after continuous use, my wrist doesn’t get sore. I have fairly sensitive skin and am very sensitive to pain; when I’ve used other brands in the past, my skin always felt like it was on fire. Over the past few days, I’ve been using it to remove hair from my legs and arms while watching shows in my bedroom after a shower. I set it to the medium-high intensity level, and the sapphire cooling tip feels cool against my skin, almost completely neutralizing any heat from the light pulses. Throughout the entire process, I only felt a slight warmth—absolutely no stinging or the sensation of a rubber band snapping against my skin. The light emits very quickly; in automatic flash mode, I can go over both legs in just a few minutes. Although I’ve only used it twice and haven’t noticed any hair thinning yet, the fact that my skin didn’t turn red or break out after use gives me great peace of mind. I plan to continue using it consistently according to the recommended schedule.
