This adapter is just what I needed for my classroom. I needed it to teach both my remote and hybrid students. I simply plug it into my MacBook and connect the HDMI cord to the adapter as well as the interactive board. The audio plays through the interactive board where I can control the volume. I’ve attached pictures to my review. You can see how the adapter allows for everything to be mirrored onto the interactive board from my MacBook. I’ve had no issues. This is a great tool especially for the price.

It's cheap and it works. I bought it for my Mac Pro Late 2013 (the trash can / black cylinder Mac). The Mac comes with only 1 HDMI port and this adaptor helps connecting to a second HDMI monitor. Plug and play and it just works.

Using this for 5 months and it works well with my Mac. Just as intended. Got it at a good price. I like the product. Thanks.

This adapter was perfect when I hooked up my laptop to a big TV for a slideshow of pics for a school reunion.

Works perfectly with my iMac 21.5", but it would be perfect if it has a longer cable, see for yourself (picture attached).

This product works as advertised. It looks and performs exactly the same as the more expensive version by a different manufacture which is also sold at Best Buy. If you are going to purchase this be sure to specifically request the sales person to get the $9.99 version of this product, otherwise they will try to sell you the more expensive version, at least that is what happened at my local store. I returned the more expensive version and purchased the $9.99 product which was in stock at the store but not on the store shelves. The product gets a five star rating, the store not so much. The store manager did apologize and indicated that additional employee training would be forthcoming.

Suddenly needed an hdmi adapter for my Surface Pro 3 to show a video of photos with music put together for my niece graduation brunch. The cable the venue had couldn’t be used with my Surface. So, I jumped on my Best Buy app and what do you know... I walked into the store (took a moment to locate) and made the purchase to save the day :) Otherwise, silence or talking amongst others (which is fine) as the brunch continued would have not been as good without the nice photos and good music. Happy sister and niece with turn out.

I have a MacBook Air that doesn’t have an HDMI port, so I use this to watch Netflix/Hulu/etc in the room that I don’t have a firestick. Very helpful.

I usually watch shows on my fire stick through apps such as Netflix or HBO. My internet isn't strong enough to stream directly from YouTube onto my smart TV. So I have a surface 3 where I generally stream shows on. But every now and then, I just wish I could watch it on the big screen instead. So I researched online found this display cable for cheap. Picked it up at a local bestbuy store and it worked like a charm! Don't have to go back to watching shows on my little surface anymore!

Had two monitors I needed to connect to my Surface Dock and the Dock only supports Mini Display port. I already had the HDMI cables for the monitors so I just bought these adapters and they work really well. They also work well when plugged into the mini display port on the Surface Pro 6 as well. Definitely a worthwhile buy. I have not had any issues with them so far.

It works just as well as any HDMI adapter. My only suggestion for the user is to be patient and let your laptop adjust to the projection. I had to go into System Preferences and adjust the resolution while the adapter was plugged in, but you only have to do that once because your Mac should save that setting. Sometimes the projection looks strange and you simply need to try plugging in the adapter again. For the price, it was a great value and an essential gadget for any Mac user.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I purchased another dynex adapter, unfortunately it was a different type of USB adapter, and did not fit my laptop. Then I purchased another different USB one from eBay, which also did not work, as it was asking me install driver, which I do not have permission to install in my work laptop, then I got this adapter at the same day as the eBay one. When I plugged it in, it was like magic after 3 times the charm. I am very pleased. and hopping this will come really handy while WFH with my Lenovo laptop.

When your laptop docking station only has an mini display port for a 2nd monitor, but the monitor is you have is only HDMI, this solves your connectivity problem. Cable is just long enough to support the conversion without having some long adapter sticking out the back of the computer. And this was plug-and-go. No drivers, no specific setup. Super easy to use. And the 2-hour best-buy pickup made it even better!

I got this as a gift for my little brother (because it was always a hassle trying to stream from his MacBook to the television). It's a small product, but it has been a HUGE help; now, my bro can watch whatever he wants from his laptop on the big screen (okay, TV screen), and he loves it. It works perfectly, and he hasn't reported any issues with it thus far, which makes this an A+ product in my book.

I was very happy to be able to find this at my local Best Buy. I needed this adapter for my daughters older Mac Book Air that didn't have an HDMI connection for her new drawing tablet. The tablet needed to connect to an HDMI input to display onto the Mac Book Air. This was reasonable price for a last minute and local purchase. It worked as needed.

This adapter has a solid connection, and it even comes with a cap for the Mini DisplayPort connector! It's the perfect size for portability and connected my MacBook Pro 2012 solidly to my TV via the HDMI cord I already had. Plus, it's the right price! Simple, effective, and not overly expensive. Definitely worth the buy!

I have purchased a number of these for both personal and professional use. I've had 1 that was bad out of the box, but all the rest have been fine. Some have been used pretty heavily for the last 2 years and are still holding up, so I have to give credit for decent construction. We'll see how long they last, but so far, so good!

I just needed an extra adapter (a back-up) for my MacBook Air as a much older one died. Seeing the variety of options and prices, I didn’t want to pay more than necessary but didn’t want to compromise performance. I can report that this adapter works perfectly fine! I do not notice and difference in performance from the more expensive adapter I have from the Apple Store (that one works great, too).
