Q: Considering getting this or the 5050UB. I am going to be using it for movie viewing in 4K HDR mostly, not for gaming. Would there be a big difference between this and the 4010UB?

A: The 5050UB has much better contrast/blacks. However, you must have a light controlled treated room to properly take advantage of the better black levels. If you don’t or can’t treat your room... in other words, if your room has white walls and ceilings, then get the 4010. If you do have darker walls and ceilings, then get the 5050UB because your room can take advantage of the better contrast and darker blacks. Aside from that, they’re virtually identical in color, lens, and features. The 5050 can do 4K60hz HDR, whereas the 4010 can only do 4K24hz HDR. That mostly applies to gaming.

Q: Hi- What screen is best for watching movies and TV?

A: A great inexpensive screen is silver ticket. Go for white. Grey is used if you can’t completely control light.

Q: will this Epson project in 3D?

A: Yes but only in 1080p, not 4K.

Q: if my room is 8 by 8 what size screen could i use for this

A: There is little point in getting a projector in a room that small. The image is going to be as smaller, if not smaller, then a conventional television.

Q: Where can I find an replacement bulb for it?

A: Hello Jeetp. The Home Cinema 4010 replacement lamp is sold as a separate accessory. The product code for the lamp is V13H010L89. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.

Q: How can I connect to speaker with HDMI cable from this projector

A: You have to use a receiver with HDMI pass thru - or a receiver with optical audio input. Unfortunately, it has no bluetooth and no audio outputs. Its HDMI or optical.

Q: How do I make my 4010 wireless??

A: Hi Fredrico, This is Eduard from Epson. To use the Epson Home Cinema 4010 4K 3LCD Projector over a wireless network, install the Epson 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN module (V12H731P02). Check the user's guide on how to install it. Hope this answers your inquiry! Regards, Eduard - The Epson Team.

Q: Say I plug in a Ipad to the back via the HDMI adapter. Then can I Bluetooth the audio to a speaker or do I have to wire the speaker via the AV port?

A: Hi Bluetooth, Your iPad will send both audio and video to the projector if you connect it via HDMI. But, if you use a VGA adaptor to connect the projector, it will transfer video only. Then you can pair your iPad to a Bluetooth speaker for sound. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
