A: Hello Cat. No App is required. You can complete setup and alignments directly from the LS800 Projector menu. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A: It's quite bad on the wall. You need a screen
A: Hello VisitDallas. Yes, the LS800 will work with a 130-inch screen. However, keep in mind the projector is best used for watching movies, sports, or gaming. For an office boardroom setting, where you will be watching presentations and videos, we recommend looking at projectors like the EX7280 and EX11000. If you have any additional questions or want to go over the recommendations, please feel free to contact our support team by phone. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
Q: how far should the Epson LS800 be away from the wall?
A: Hello ed. Projection distance can vary based on the screen size used with the projector. Depending on the size, the projector can be placed anywhere from 1 inch to 11 inches away from the display. For more details, please see the projector placement section in the User Guide. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A: Hi Brian. The LS800 Projector does not have to be used in a totally dark room, but it is designed for indoor lighting. Using the projector outdoors during the day would possibly result in a dim image and exposure to dust and/or moisture. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A: Make sure the screen is rated for ultra short throw. Best way is go to the actual mfg. Best Buy has packages but for what ever reason screens are not always correct.
A: Make sure to place your remote in an area where it can’t be touched with your feet or hands by accident, remote is very sensitive and will turn on the screen with any minimal inputs.
A: They have a you tube channels for your specific application.

Upgraded from an 82 inch TV and glad I did! Paired it with the Epson silverflex 120 inch screen and results are phenomenal!! Between Formovie, Hisense, Samsung and LG, I chose Epson because of the package deal at best buy, plus I really needed one that performs in bright lid room. Live it, sharp, bright, and low fan noise! Also paired it eith Samsung Q990B soundbar that cones with 2 HDMI input since Epson LS800 doesn’t have eArc, wished they had that for more seamless CEC integration! Tricky part is to find a media table that’s low for this purpose and I ended up with a coffee table that’s 16.5 inch tall, 14 inch table height maybe more ideal!

It is really an experience almost like being in a movie theater in my living room when paired with Epson’s 120 inch short throw screen. It’s wasn’t cheap but I feel it was money well spent. As you can see in the picture even in daylight the picture is bright.

Wanted a short throw projector so this was te only one on sale never had EPSON but reviews were fair so tried and found it won't adapt Netflix had to add ROKU but viewing was pretty good I loved it on my 120 inch screen until after a year it became dull to command, slowing reflects I was wondering if it was just me but getting worse little by little and finally quit showing suddenly turned off with buzzing noise with just a EPSON logo showing on screen only after a year and 7 months for originally over $3000 equipment I'm so disapointed
