I purchased this unit a couple of years ago from the initial Kickstarter campaign, and have used it every day for the past two summers - in a high-desert region that has many multiple over 100 degree days. It has saved me, when A/C is so expensive to run and doesn't make sense to cool a whole house when others aren't here - I share a home, so having the personal unit makes sense. This unit sits on my worktable close by me and it has kept me cool when the room temperature breaches 90 degrees. The air within a few feet is cooler by at least 10 degrees, the air filtration gives a nice fresh breeze of clean air, and the added moisture does provide relief for the summer dry air. I keep a water bottle nearby to refill after running for a few hours, so all it needs is some water to keep cooling. The fan and air filter keeps working after the water runs out so it still offers benefit. I don't know how I would have survived the summer without it. There was one small glitch after last summer, else it would get a 5-star rating - the water tank light has gone out, it didn't come on this, the third summer I'm using it, which actually is fine because I can use it at night now without added light. The photo enclosed I just turned the unit on, and it already dropped the temperature 6 degrees. It typically changes the temperature between 9 and 12 degrees.
