Ever After - DVD

Drew Barrymore and Algelica Huston give touching performances as antagonists in the context of a retelling of the Cinderella story. Historians will cringe at the impossible details the plot caused by the mixing of actual Renaissance nobility with fictional characters. Still, it's a feel-good story that viewers will wish really happened.

This is my third copy of this movie. I have replaced it at least once for my own use and given it as a gift to my granddaughters. Not just a fairy tale but a story with lessons in history, philosophy and humanity. While this movie was created in 1998, its story and this telling is ageless.

I adore this film and everything about it, I knew I had to get it once I saw it at Best Buy. I'm also glad that I did. This is a chick flick (obvi) and it's always a good one to watch with your girlfriends for Girls' Night In on Saturday nights. I recommend this film (obvi).

I have been looking for this on Bluray for some time and now that I have it im not disappointed. First off I love this movie as a great retelling of the story. Throwing DaVinci into the story is just a plus. Fantastic digital transfer for both picture and sound.

I am becoming a bigger and bigger fan of the digital copies simply for convenience and quality via my smart TV. When I find a movie like this that I enjoy and wouldn’t mind having at the touch of my fingertips and it’s less than $5, it’s hard to go wrong.
