Everything Is Recorded - Friday Forever - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

In a civilization determined by nearly 2,000 years of Judeo-Christianity, the prisms of analysis have become common to thinkers, philosophies and judgments, forming blinders to the exercise of reason. Michel Onfray, through this homage to popular wisdom and the teachings of nature, proposes to escape from it. Empirical and pragmatic knowledge is placed at the heart of reflection in order to question our relationships with nature, with the life it makes possible, and with the animals that populate it. This second set of Cosmos begins a post-Christian work of building a wisdom armed with reason, a reflection that goes beyond philosophy to include art and the sacred, but also the rhythms and breaths of nature.

Back in May, record producer and XL Recordings head Richard Russell introduced his new collaborative artist project, Everything Is Recorded. With Russell at the helm, his west London studio InchThe Copper HouseInch had become (and continues to be) a creative second home for a revolving cast of vocalists and musicians who passed through to write, record and share ideas, mixing traditional recording sessions with extended, uninhibited live jams. The New Yorker did an extensive profile on Russell and spoke about the project back in May. As well as being the founder of XL, Russell is renowned for his album production work for Bobby Womack, Damon Albarn, Ibeyi and Gil ScottHeron among others. Album Tracks 1. Intro 2.
