We have bought a lot of Fitbits. My 9-year-old daughter's needed to be replaced, so we got her this one. It works great. She is able to set her step goal and watch herself achieve it over the course of the day. When she is a little short of it, she takes an extra walk, so it is helping her move more. The only thing we don't like about it is the lack of a buckle on the wristband. Snapping it closed is a little tricky, and it is not as secure. Also, the band did start discoloring a little on the edges shortly after we got it. Be aware this model does not have a heart rate monitor, which was fine for our daughter. I myself have the Alta HR, which has the heart rate monitor and a buckle on the wristband.

Amazing fit but I love how you can see who's texting and calling you! I'd recommend it to everyone! It monitored my steps and never realized how many steps I take a day!

I bought this for my daughter and she wears it all the time. She loves to get the notifications and compete with others in their total steps. It keeps her active and reminds her when to get moving again. She wears it playing soccer and running and has no issues from wear and tear. The battery lasts about 6 or 7 days which is amazing because I have the charge HR which will last about 4 days if I turn off the Bluetooth on my phone. I like her having the Alta because it helps us monitor her sleep patterns and how well she sleeps. Fun and useful.

I love the look of this Fitbit and have had lots of comments that it looks more like a stylish bracelet. I love that I can wear it like a watch to keep up with the time, month, day of week. It has lots of other great features besides just tracking your steps and activity. It also shows up on your Fitbit who is calling or texting you. It keeps a great charge. And I love doing the challenges with all my Fitbit friends!!

I had previously owned the Fitbit Charge, The main reason I was interested in the Alta is the size of the band. Until you get use to it, charging the battery is more difficult than charging the Charge, but lasts about 5 to 7 days. Only wish the metal band was available in size large. Buy... You will luv the Alta.

Good fit and it helps to motivate and track my activities

I myself have the fitbit surge. I got this one for my girlfriend she loves it the size is perfect for her and color. She likes the screen and the app works well she also likes the sleep tracking. It has all she needs great product.

The ALta works pretty well, but since day 1 I still have some sync issues as I have my phone synched with multilep BT devices, so it's hard to get it to synch with my phone when I want it to. At times it's take over 4-6 hrs for it to actually start a sync. BUt the Alta does work well and I love the fact that I can change the bands on it as I was able to find one with a watch style clousre.

I've warn my Alta for over a year now. It has has recorded over 5,000,000 steps in that time. I like that it is water resistant as I have occasionally jumped in my pool with it on. My only dislike is the screen material now has several scuffs and scratches as a result of wearing my bit while doing yardwork and moving furniture (which is my profession). However, I like the screen because it display time/date and more information that other models.

This is really everything you need as far as tracking steps go, but it does much more with the app!

Bought two gave one as a gift. Love them. Only gave 4 stars because charger broke on one after less than couple months. Good thing they are not too expensive to replace.

Like how it keeps accurate steps count than my app on my iPhone. Also like how it tells me about my sleep pattern too.

Helps you keep up with your physical fitness and it gives the information you need to stay physical fit

I like this because you can see your results without connecting to the phone. It also works as a watch. It lets you know when you have had a text message or phone call. The bummer comes when you try to put the thing on. It is very difficult to snap together and gets very, very frustrating for me.

Love it but the charger broke after less than a couple months. Else I would have given it 5 stars.
