I got this due to the rave reviews on the graphics. It did not disappoint, detail and 3-D is pretty state of the art. However, to use it to the max requires some significant hardware. I had an old rig using a 780Ti which barely supports a "medium" setting which still looks pretty nice. In terms of aircraft dynamics, haven't played with it in that depth to really make a determination. If you're looking for a "sim", xplane is probably better to get, but if detailed 3-D graphics and scenery is what you're after, this is it. It doesn't allow support of multiple displays like xplane, so only way is to use spanning of graphics card, i.e. treat multiple displays as one.

I have the older versions of FS from years ago and I was anxious to get this new version. I recommend that you check the PC requirements before purchasing. My PC was underpowered and I needed to upgrade in order to get it to run. However it did run excellently on a friend's MSI gaming laptop at high resolution. You will not be disappointed with the package. Graphics are excellent and action is smooth. I purchased the basic version and I will buy add-ons as needed. Also recommend a controller as using a keyboard alone does not cut it.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is a great game but its very slow and you need a super fast computer with alot of hard drive space to run this properly.

Best Microsoft Flight Simulator ever! I've been using Microsoft Flight Simulator since it came out in the early 80s. I've experienced numerous versions but this has got to be the all time champ. The realism is incredible and the customization is fantastic. I've set the weather and time to live and it's just like flying out of my back yard! I'm working on getting V/R for this system (it already has a V/R settings menu) to enhance the reality. I've "virtually" flown in and out of numerous airfields I've experienced in real life and its like going down memory lane. If you like flight sims, you have to get this one.

This game is amazing. The graphics are super realistic and the aerodynamics of the planes (especially the general aviation ones) are incredibly accurate. Performance runs good without any major lag spikes. Installation utilizing the Best Buy redemption code was flawless and easy.

Fun game but has some growing to go. Better if played with a controller rather then on keyboard.

I finally decided to take a plunge into the Flight Simulator 2020 after having read a lot of positive reviews. I had 2 tries on the download because it was not a good idea to install it in another drive. I just let it install on the default drive and that finally worked. It does not work well with the Xbox controller on a PC. It is better to just use the keyboard and mouse if you don't have the flight sticks. It would have been nice if all functions are supported in the controller but that would probably come until the summer of 2021 when they will have the release in Xbox. However, once you do the test flights and the rest, it is amazing compared to the FS in the past. The AI is not perfect but the flying simulation is really enjoyable. It is the closest to you being on a cockpit of a plane and not being a real pilot.

I used to have this for the PC...years ago with multiple monitors, yoke...powerfull CPU(s) and video cards. I gave it up long ago and then saw "this". I decided to go for it so, I bought an xbox(S) just for this simulator (been a PS fan since the beginning). I couldn't believe how smooth it runs...,how awesome the GPS/google earth like graphics are...the weather, ground services...it goes on and on. All these features required separate programs in the past. I'm very satisfied!

I've only been using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 for two weeks, but so far I'm pleased with it. I have what most gamers would consider an entry-level graphics card (Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Super), so I can't use the highest quality graphics settings without seeing poor performance. But even at the medium settings, the graphics quality and simulator responsiveness are quite good. My only negative observation after two weeks is that some of the training modules seem to be either poorly designed, or outright "buggy". For example, I have completed the "Solo Flight" module several times and have gotten very adept at it, sticking the landing flawlessly and quickly exiting the runway onto a taxiway, just as the previous training modules teach you to do. However, after the virtual instructor praises me for sticking the landing, she goes on to say things like "You weren't really supposed to land there" and "Nobody's perfect". Little negatives like this are just slightly annoying, so overall I'm pretty happy with the product so far.

Really great graphics. Flying is pretty realistic. I think X-plane flying feels better. But the scenery in MSFS is outstanding

Graphics are fantastic. Controls are realistic. This is a course on learning to fly.

I was on the fence on buying this when it came out due to not having a joystick. After spending some time researching and reading/watching reviews, I decided to pull the trigger. The game is playable with an Xbox controller—still getting used to which buttons to hit to perform certain actions, but the on-screen guidance is helpful enough. I may still get a joystick at some point to get a better experience. Graphics are amazing. Coming from Flight Simulator X from over a decade ago, this is a must have!

I played older version of MS Flight Sim and I really like the realism of the cockpit of different planes. I want to try newer version of MS Flight sim and this sims improved for better and lot more to learn. Overall I really like this flight sim and definitely needs Joy stick to fly the plane better.

Rather messy installation when purchased electronically. Not sure which company is the problem. Microsoft surely does not provide much assistance, all via robots and going thru circles and catch 22. Product itself works differently between aircraft model. One must want to play with a flight simulator, otherwise forget it. Too messy

I've waited so long for this updated product. I researched all three versions and decided the Standard edition is fine. The purchase through Best Buy took several hours before the code was released (not sure why). Downloading through XBox and Microsoft was slow. I tried to let the download occur overnight but it stopped twice and I had to re-boot each time. Once it loaded, the graphics are incredible. Many of the controls are different from previous versions and I'll have to get used to that. I look forward to many flights!

Wow.! Such a great improvement from the last MFS. Everything looks amazing. Gotta have a beefy system to see its full potential and the amazing scenery.
