A: Thanks for your question! This Microwave model is designed for built‑in installation within cabinetry, and the installation instructions include a configuration labeled “Microwave Under Countertop,” showing how it can be installed into a cutout space with proper support and clearances. However, below‑counter or island installations are not typical for this type of built‑in unit. The instructions assume installation into a cabinet opening with surrounding structure supporting the unit and proper ventilation. To install any built‑in microwave below a countertop or in an island, you would need to ensure adequate support, ventilation, electrical access, and compliance with local building codes and such installations aren’t explicitly covered in the standard built‑in installation guidelines. For safety and best performance, we recommend working with a qualified installer or cabinet professional who can verify whether a below‑counter island configuration can be done for your space and meets all clearance and support requirements. - Maria

I recently purchased the built-in Frigidaire Professional Microwave Oven, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. From the moment we installed it, it elevated the look of my kitchen with its sleek, professional design and high-end finish. Performance-wise, it’s outstanding. The microwave heats food evenly and efficiently, with intuitive controls that make it incredibly easy to use. The preset cooking options are well thought out, and the interior capacity is generous without feeling bulky. It’s quiet, powerful, and feels solidly built—exactly what you’d expect from a professional-grade appliance. Overall, this microwave strikes the perfect balance between style, functionality, and reliability. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a built-in microwave that performs just as good as it looks. Best Buy has a great price!

We ended up steering away from some other brands due to complexity, lack of features and higher cost. This unit also fit better than other options. It does a great job and was much easier to lesrn to use than we initially expected. Very easy to get it going.
