This lens has been the perfect upgrade from using cheaper manual focus lenses. It creates a sharp and detailed image and works wonderfully with my Fujifilm X-T5.

I bought this lens for a, upcoming vacation to the virgin islands. I decided to buy and bring only this lens, and it ended up being great. I think most importantly, it never slowed me down.. I put a UV filter on and ditched my lens cap.. I saw something, took a shot and moved on.. Nice and quick, no lens switching. After getting back and editing my photos, I learned that I used 16mm about 70% of the time (mainly wide landscapes) , 23mm about 20% (for "normal" shots that I didn't want any distortion) and 80mm about 10% of the time (cool lizards and small islands at a distance). All shots were around the F4 - 5.6 range. Pros: Instant quiet autofocus. Probably one of Fuji's best lenses for AF. Good lowlight due to great stabilization (I could easily shoot at 1/8th of second and get good shots) For the night time landscape shots, it was perfect. I did NOT feel the need for a lens with lower aperture (for travel). Build quality feels great in the hand, like all my Fuji gear. Not too big.. I know smaller is always better, but this was very manageable.. Felt nice on an XT3 with my Fuji Arca Grip Cons: Most of your shots (unless shot at 80mm relatively closeup) won't have much background blur, but for travel this is not a big deal and in many cases, you don't want blurry background photos for travel. Some reviews say this lens isn't sharp in the corners, but that is most definitely not what the lens is made for, and I never noticed any issues with my corners.. It is a great choice for a single travel lens.

After a trip out to Colorado and is using nothing but Fuji prime lenses and taking them on and off and on and off it got very frustrating plus I was tired of fighting the dust I had a lens very similar to this and when I had a Nikon and it was a 24 to 120 This is the equivalent focal length and I used to living daylights out of them before and upon my return from Colorado I purchase this lens and kick myself for not having it before this is the equivalent focal length and I used to living daylights out of them before and upon my return from Colorado I purchase this lens and kick myself for not having it before I did not find any issues with the sharpness it’s still a good size it’s not overly heavy it does use a 72 mm filter but now I was only dealing with one as opposed to four when it came to using a polarizer So is exceptionally sharp well balanced had no issue with it being a four but I mainly shoot landscapes so whether I was using the internal image stabilization or using it on a tripod I was getting good results One thing to remember if you do have image stabilization turned on and you have ibis in your camera body make sure that they are turned off when you go to shoot on a tripod otherwise your pictures will come out slightly fuzzy That is the biggest complaint that people have about image stabilization and a tripod Well I hope this helps you decide to purchase his wonderful lens I wish I would’ve done this in over a year ago it would’ve helped me achieve some better photographs and I wouldn’t missed a few
