Customer Ratings & Reviews

This thing is pretty legit. Just when you thought you bought a GPS with alot of features, this is it. This thing will take you on roads you never knew were there. There is alot to say on this GPS. I just got back from a 3500mile ride and we're constantly engaging it to see how it perform. It's pretty neat. There are a good amount of videos on this online but very few are satisfying enough for me. I will probably make a video on this GPS just going over the functions without explaining. Just strictly showing by pressing buttons. My channel is Jonasegway on YouTube. I'll probably have a video uploaded by July 15th. In the meantime in between time, if you're wanting to pull the trigger on this GPS, I would say do it!

Since mounting this on my bike, I don't even like going on short rides (less than 40 miles). It's been a great addition to my riding experience. For $400, totally worth it.

Changes my riding experience. Now i cam spend time looking at the scenery not my phone

Rating: 4.5/5 The Garmin Zumo 5.5" GPS is a robust navigation device tailored specifically for motorcyclists, offering a plethora of features designed to enhance the riding experience. As an avid rider who values both functionality and durability in my gadgets, I found this GPS unit to be a dependable companion on my journeys. First and foremost, the 5.5-inch display is a standout feature, providing clear and vivid imagery even under varying lighting conditions. Its glove-friendly touchscreen ensures ease of use while on the road, allowing for quick and precise navigation inputs without the need to remove riding gear. One of the most appreciated functionalities of the Garmin Zumo is its built-in Bluetooth capability. Pairing with my smartphone was seamless, enabling hands-free calling and audio streaming directly through my helmet headset. This integration enhances safety by keeping distractions to a minimum while on the road. Map updates are crucial for accurate navigation, and Garmin excels in this aspect. The Zumo comes with lifetime map updates, ensuring that riders have access to the latest road information and points of interest. This feature provides peace of mind, especially when venturing into unfamiliar territory. Durability is paramount for any device intended for motorcycle use, and the Zumo does not disappoint. With its rugged design and resistant to fuel vapors, UV rays, and harsh weather conditions, I felt confident in its ability to withstand the rigors of long rides in various environments. While the Garmin Zumo 5.5" GPS ticks most boxes for motorcycle navigation, there are a couple of minor drawbacks worth mentioning. Firstly, the device's price point may deter some potential buyers, especially considering the availability of more affordable alternatives. Additionally, while the touchscreen is responsive, it can be challenging to operate with thick gloves, requiring occasional removal for precise inputs. In conclusion, the Garmin Zumo 5.5" GPS with Built-In Bluetooth and Map Updates is a top-notch navigation device tailored for motorcycle enthusiasts. Its robust construction, intuitive interface, and seamless smartphone integration make it a reliable companion for riders seeking both functionality and durability. While the initial investment may be steep, the lifetime map updates and peace of mind offered by Garmin's reputation for quality justify the expense for serious riders.

This Garmin GPS is amazing. Very well designed and easy to use. It comes with everything needed to use on your motorcycle. The best features I have ever seen for motorcycle riding.

I mounted this GPS on my motorcycle and it is easy to see in bright daylight, easy to use, and one of the simplest GPS units to search and add locations. I would definitely recommend the Garmin Zumo to any motorcyclist.

A great upgrade from an older garmin. Love the huge screen and it can be seen in bright sun. Would love to see the time on the display at all times and not a big fan on the attachment to the base. Gamin is not very Mac friendly on the software side but with some effort got it all working.

Best GPS ever. All you will ever need in this model. Made for the Motor Cycle, and so wonderful, easy to use with the gloves on. Water proof and shock resistance. So easy to use, worth the price.

This Zumo XT replaced a Zumo 660 that I used on my motorcycle. While the 660 was very good, the XT offers many more useful features. I was also very pleased with the very fast delivery, as I was leaving on a 2 week trip and needed this before I left.

As in some of my previous reviews I like to give the item sometime to perform and see what the results are. This is one year later and I can confirm this is the best GPS for my motorcycle I have bought. I highly recommend this item especially for the motorcycle riders. It work great in my car to but the Motorcycle recommendations are what makes this item so good. So glad I purchased this unit on recommendation form another rider.

When BB had a sale I bought the Garmin. Still expensive but should be a good addition to the adventure tools on the Africa Twin. Too often I run out of cell service and the maps disappear, and sometime issues using GAIA app but at least this should still tell me where the heck I am. Has some cool features like sending routes from the phone to the device wirelessly and sharing routes with other Garmins.

Just returned from a 2500 motorcycle trip and the Zumo XT performed flawlessly. I used the Trip Planner app that is built-in to route my main route and main stops and it was very convenient to setup and modify as I needed to. Otherwise for day trips, it was very easy to custom navigate to various destinations. I love how the keyboard offers common words and places after you start typing a few letters. Just like on a smart phone. It always paired quickly with my iPhone and Bluetooth headset and never dropped the connection even once during the entire trip! The unit disconnects from the handlebar mount with a quick button press so it is easy to take it inside with you whenever you leave the bike. The screen is bright and legible even for my older eyes and even in bright sunlight. Great job Garmin!

Best configured GPS for motorcycle. Price is pricey. I hope it was on sale when I bought but my son needs it very badly for his motorcycle and can’t wait for it to go on sale.

Love love love this GPS. Just knowing that if an accident happens it contacts my emergency contact automatically makes me feel that my money was well spent.

The perfect gps for motorcycles. My only wish is if there was a way to be able to modify the screen layout, it’s limited from that point. The screen is great though

This gps is such an improvement on using my phone. It also bluetooths to my phone and Cardo packtalk black to play my music and give real-time traffic and weather updates.

Love it. I've had many Garmin GPS's over the years. This is the best by far. I use it mostly for motorcycle but some for car. Easiest startup of any. Easy to do direct battery install on motorcycle

This seems to be the best option for two-wheeled travel. I like most aspects, with only one significant gripe. I wish it was easier to change the screen brightness. It’s in the menu system, so difficult to change while riding. Otherwise, it’s a brilliant product.

I purchased this to use on my motorcycle. It appears it’s going to work as expected. I’ve had good luck with other Garmin units I’ve used for years.

Love this Garmin, makes off-roading so much fun and easier!!!
