I had never installed a trim kit for a microwave before. But it was straightforward and the instructions were adequate. And I like the finished look. It's worth noting that all of these kits are exorbitantly overpriced, but at least Best Buy price matches, which saved me some money.

Looks Great but not for a 27"

I ordered a 27" fit kit at the store and the sku for 27" came up with the 30" kit claiming it fit. When it arrived just as expected it did not fit. I ordered the 27" fit kit directly from GE. Products are same but size is different. BEWARE IF FOR A 27". That aside the kit works and looks great. Way overpriced. Contains a metal support kit with a plastic surround that matches my oven. Just be sure of the size. 1 hr install.

The stainless microwave kit looks pretty with the GE shiny finish. GE customer service said it would be an easy installation but did not fit the cutout of the GE that was supposed to be identical. My boyfriend and I worked all day installing the kit and it looks good. The Weiman spray keeps it looking perfect.

Since the microwave was being put into a built in cabinet, I need a trim kit to give the whole unit a finished look. The matching slate color make it look like a combo with the wall oven. Just great!
