Giya Kancheli - Music For Stage and Screen - VINYL LP

On his 2025 album, Canadian star pianist Jan Lisiecki brings the diverse sounds of the prelude to life, highlighting that it is far more than just a curtain-raiser to something else. Frédéric Chopin's extraordinary 24 Préludes Op. 28 are inspiration and centrepiece of this recording. For Lisiecki, Chopin was a Inchmaster of the short formInch who Inchbrought the prelude out of the shadows and into the spotlight.Inch Chopin's pieces are complemented and contrasted with selected preludes by other composers from across three centuries, each representing a pinnacle of achievement in the genre - from Bach, Messiaen, Rachmaninoff to Górecki. Lisiecki seeks Inchto showcase the broad possibilities of the humble preludeInch that takes Inchthe audience on a musical expeditionInch through these kaleidoscopic miniatures. Album Tracks 1. SVIN has been at the forefront of progressive Danish music for a decade, as both a lauded pioneer and a well-guarded secret. The ten movements of ELEGI build from a base of reflective melancholy to one of high energy, combining the ambient drones familiar from some of SVIN's previous albums with junkyard percussion, ritualistic fervor, and a sure sense of Zen. It is composed music with the impulses of a tight, reactive improvisation and with a vast range of timbres and textures, acoustic and electronic. Album Tracks 1. Elegi #1 2. Call to Worship 3. Ezra 4. Sarangi 5. Kami 6. Elegi #2 7. Tengoku 8. Dødsrite 9. Ikebana 10. Elegi #3

Mythodea is an epic choral symphony by the Greek composer Vangelis, originally composed in 1993. With the support of NASA and the Greek government he recorded the symphony in the Greece's Music Hall together with two harpists, the 120-person chorus of the Greek National Opera, the 75-person London Metropolitan Orchestra and some percussionists. In this incredible piece the human civilization is represented in outer space. With the classical mood, Vangelis explores new musical territories. His self-written pseudo lyrics sounds incredible in the vocal harmonies from the chorus and let the listener choose their own meaning of the movements. The multiple-award winning composer of electronic, progressive, orchestral and jazz music started his career working in several successful bands, such as Aphrodite's Child. He composed over 50 albums and is still creative in developing new concepts. Mythodea is available as a limited edition of 1000 copies on crystal clear vinyl and includes a 4-page booklet with pictures and liner notes. LISTEN //youtu.
