About this product
Offering fuzzy grunge-pop with doses of shimmering synths and emo angst, Ned Russin co-fronted Title Fight before halting in 2018 & Ned began playing music as Glitterer. Now a full band, Glitterer returns with Rationale combining 90s grunge, capital-R riffs a la The Stooges, & a keyboard lead that gives self-deprecating melodrama., After relying more on synths for the entirely solo, home-recorded Glitterer LP in 2017, he involved collaborators on the crunchier Looking Through the Shades in 2019. This trend toward driving indie rock grit with '90s influences continued on 2021's Life Is Not a Lesson and now Rationale. Album Tracks 1. I Want to Be Invisible 2. The Same Ordinary 3. Plastic 4. Can't Feel Anything 5. Big Winner 6. Recollection 7. Certainty 8. It's My Turn 9. Just a Place 10. No One There 11. My Lonely Lighting 12. Half Truth

Vinyl LP pressing. Looking Through The Shades, is Glitterer's debut full-length album, featuring Ned Russin, bassist/vocalist of Title Fight. This is Glitterer all glown up. Now there are live drums (twin brother Ben did the honors) and dopamine-releasing fuzzy guitars to go with the synths, the bass, and the voice. Now there's a full 14-song tracklist to luxuriate in. Produced by Alex Giannascoli and Arthur Rizk (Code Orange, Power Trip, Sumerlands) the album delivers Glitterer's best-yet sonics and songs. The lyrics are still insouciantly tortured, in a reluctant-college-boy kind of way, the choruses are still obscenely catchy, and the arrangements still carry not so much as an ounce of excess fat. From the saturated distortion of the opener, InchThe RaceInch (InchI wish I could look at your life and know it's mineInch), through the road-weary Inch1001Inch (InchI sang 1,000 songs / didn't want to sing againInch) and the vox-and-bass-only Side B outlier InchThe NewsInch (InchI used to be originalInch), the listener is simultaneously satiated and left wanting more. Album Tracks 1. The Race 2. Again 3. Anxious Eyes 4. 1001 5. Destiny 6. Of More Being 7. Put Ourselves Away 1. Building 2. Two 3. Perfect 4. The News 5. Digging in the Trash 6. Wallpaper 7. Distraction
