As always, an excellent performance from Harman/Kardon, he already has us accustomed to his sophisticated sound, bass that impact, some media that are enjoyed and treble that are exciting,, in general a warm and well-defined sound, without any distortion and an excellent volume level. It's a good product.

I have purchased the onyx 3 , 5 and 6. Overall love this one the best. Great sound and base. If what you want is the best sound experience and quality for your dollar, this is amongst the best. Loving it . The sound experience is unique, clean voices , outstanding base and the horns excel. Over all you can't get better

[Employee of bestbuy] I bought this as a way to keep me going throughout the day with the sounds of music, but I connected it to my TV and I was blown away! The enhanced bass and highs gives a theatrical experience to sitcoms and cartoons. Though the speaker itself can have some overwhelming high bass, some EQ’ing can treat it right (speaker itself does not have an equalizer AFAIK). Battery life on this thing exceeded my expectations. Going on 10 hours so far on it and the battery hasn’t gotten low. Definitely my money’s worth! P.S. the handle doesn’t swivel, it’s stationary.

That being said although they are different companies, both JBL & Harman Kardon coincide collectively under Harman. For starters, as cool as it would be the stand is stationary and does not swivel. The vocals, base, and equalizer produce sounds like no other. 10+ hours of battery life off charger. Perfect for a birthday or Christmas wishlists satisfaction guaranteed.

I love this speaker! It produces amazing sound, charges well. Can't go wrong with a harman. Ive always been a fan of their speaker. This is my 2nd one! Even bought one for my mom and she loves it. So in all, ive purchased 3 speakers. Satisfied customer.

Excellent bass and audio quality, the exception is the battery

I originally purchased the Bose Soundlink Revolve II and something about it just didnt sound right and had no lows. Returned it for the Studio 7 instead, this thing is REDICULOUS!!! Shuts out all the competition in its price range. THE BEST SPEAKER!

As if you didn't know the brand Harmon Kardon represents excellence, this speaker sounds excellent. It fills not just my room but my house and backyard. And it kinda looks pretty cool setting up even cooler than in the pic

Awesome bass. I had Harmon Kardon Onyx 3 in the past.

The Onyx 7 seemed to be a great option to replace my Onyx 6 but it left me feeling underwhelmed. The overall sound quality just didn’t meet my expectations. I felt as though this speaker delivered a very muffled, muddled quality where as my Onyx 6 does a great job with bass and clarity. The condition the speaker was received was also baffling. This item had weird marks on it and even a scratch on the side. Definitely not the “excellent”‘condition price tag i was expecting. Best Buy should really do a better job at inspecting and labeling their quality.

This speaker is great as a small room speaker for music or multimedia purposes. For having a power output of 50W RMS the speaker puts out a surprisingly full sound and even has a good rumble to it at times. Highs are crisp and i’m a big fan of HK’s tuning here. Do note that the speaker loses a significant chunk of volume and fullness when it is running off battery - of which also does not last long. Ideally between the small battery, the reduced output while on battery, and the lack of any water resistance rating, this speaker is best indoors and stationary. Under those conditions and its current price, the Onyx 7 is hard to beat.

Pretty nice speaker for the sale price. I purchased this because i thought it was better and newer than the onyx 5. it does sound a little better and you can turn down the bass by holding down the bluetooth and volume down button. this will have to be done anytime its turned on/off. i have not tested the battery life since it's always plugged in. the handle is a little different. it does weigh more than the onyx 5. if you have an older onyx before the 5 i would upgrade to the 7 unless the 8 is on sale.

I knew exactly what I was getting when I bought this speaker and I opted for sound quality over features. This speaker sounds absolutely amazing and while it won’t quite hold up to a full size stereo this little(I use that word lightly) speaker definitely holds its own. At its core it’s a basic Bluetooth speaker. No accompanying app for EQ(however very few modern devices don’t have some kind of built in eq options if you need to make adjustments), no speakerphone and the Bluetooth version is a little dated. However I don’t notice any lag when playing YouTube videos, it does have aux in for attaching to a tv or computer etc.. and well… it’s a speaker so the most important part, for me, how does it sound?r the sound is AMAZING. Surprisingly capable when it comes to bass.. definitely enough bottom end to get complaints if you’re in an apartment, gets very loud(better when plugged in) and it will absolutely fill a moderately sized room with full bodied sound. Treble isn’t peaky even at louder volumes. So if you also value sound over features, I paid $129 and you’re not going to find a better sounding bluetooth speaker for the price.
