When I purchased this John Wayne movie, Best Buy had a really great discount marked on it. I enjoyed the movie very much and am glad to have it as part of my John Wayne movie library.

I had this movie on a VHS, before DVD'S were even thought of, Huge John Wayne fan. Lived near him at one time, back in the 60's. Tape died and I was delighted when I found one at Best Buy.

Action packed adventure showing John Wayne as a hero dealing with oil rig fires and poisonous wells. Has a bit of a love story between him and Vera Miles (Man Who Shot Liberty Valance) and between Jim Hutton (Green Berets) and Katharine Ross. Has the usual John Wayne posse also (Bruce Cabot, J.C. Flippen, and Edward Faulkner)

I was thrilled when this movie was finally released on dvd/bluray. its a classic film based on a true story that is really compelling and engaging! They don't make them like this anymore! The picture looks great and the sound is much improved over the old vhs version.

A very exciting movie about putting out oil rig fires. The action is incredible and must have been very dangerous to film. The actors compliment each other well.

Along with the Duke, Jim Hutton, Katherine Ross, Jim Hutton, and Vera Miles provide a great story based on Red Adair, the real Hellfighter. It shows you how dangerous such a job can be and how much fun you can have traveling to all the locations.

This is a good movie about oil firefighters. It has a good cast and a story based on a real life person. There are fires reproduced from real life situations, which make the movie a little more exciting.
