I had this movie on a VHS, before DVD'S were even thought of, Huge John Wayne fan. Lived near him at one time, back in the 60's. Tape died and I was delighted when I found one at Best Buy.

this a great all around movie, shows john wayne in a different atmosphere than all the westerns he did. shows good action and romance also,

If you love John Wayne then you need this movie in your collection.

I was thrilled when this movie was finally released on dvd/bluray. its a classic film based on a true story that is really compelling and engaging! They don't make them like this anymore! The picture looks great and the sound is much improved over the old vhs version.

Along with the Duke, Jim Hutton, Katherine Ross, Jim Hutton, and Vera Miles provide a great story based on Red Adair, the real Hellfighter. It shows you how dangerous such a job can be and how much fun you can have traveling to all the locations.

When it comes to this movie I can't really say much about it because I got this as a gift for my dad who loves John Wayne. So I guess if you like old school classics like this I say go buy it for you or a gift for someone.

Wayne's last years movies were over looked for the most part because of the Hippie movement. I guess honesty, Morals, and Loyalty in Movies were out of style at that time.

This movie is one of John Wayne's best. The special effects are super. John Wayne really gave a special performance.
