About this product

Take command of humidity with the Hisense 50 Pint Dehumidifier. Three modes — Auto, Continuous, and Manual — and three fan speeds give you the flexibility to match operation to whatever your space presents. Auto mode responds to ambient humidity, running only as needed. Continuous mode handles persistent moisture without interruption. Manual puts direct control in your hands. Fan speeds from High to Low let you balance airflow with noise preference, reaching as low as 45 dBA on the Low setting. Low-temperature performance down to 38°F keeps this unit effective in basements, crawl spaces, and garages where moisture builds in cooler conditions. A bucket full indicator prevents overflows, and the washable filter reduces bacteria, odors, and particles to support healthier air throughout your home. ENERGY STAR certified, this dehumidifier handles large-space moisture while keeping energy use and operating costs in check over the long run.

    Hisense Dehumidifier

I've had the dehumidifier for only two months. So far it is working well! It is quiet and effective. Hisense offers a two year warranty--other manufacturers offer only a one year warranty--so I assume Hisense has more confidence in its product. Other dehumidifiers have lasted only one or two years, so I have high hopes for this model.

Questions & Answers
  • The previous Hisense Dehumidifier was hard to clean due to bucket design. Mold buildup in the crevices. Used bleach or vinegar that did not get rid of the mold in the crevices. Has the design improved? The bucket developed a fracture line.

I don't know if the design has improved, but I suggest you use a drain hose instead if at all possible--that is, if there is a nearby drain. You will need to raise the dehumidifier so it is high enough to keep all parts of the hose sloping downward--because the water drips out of the dehumidifier slowly and if the hose goes uphill at any point, the water won't go through the hose and the hose will get jammed up and then the dehumidifier will not work. This is true for all dehumidifiers, not just this model.
